Thanks for the breakout. Perusing other YT videos, you appear to be a bit of a Stray Cat aficionado. Question: Is there a live version of "How long you wanna live, anyway?"

Storm the Embassy is such an underrated song, it's so poetic and has a lot of symbolism about the shit that went down in the Iranian Embassy Siege.

Or not, 50's American rock 'n' roll and rockabilly was at that time just few years before gone out of fashion and British pop was number one. Rockers went to country or continued r&r with little success. Next chance to r&r bands was in the late 70's, when music had long time been so boring and stale that people wanted fresh rock 'n' roll and rockabilly again.

This live show has the same songlist order as the montreux concert played a little after this one in 1981. Although these concerts were played a short time apart they sound so different. I love them both but personally prefer the montreux addition. Love the stray cats!
@aljustal65546 ай бұрын
This was July 16, 1981. The Montreux show was on July 10th, so it the other way around---Montreux was six days earlier. Also, they played some different songs in the final encore, although you are correct that the main setlist was the same. For instance, this show has two Gene Vincent and The Blue Caps songs, but that show had a total of four.
