I don't see any other comments about what this song is about so I'll say it: this song is awesome because it talks about how so many of us Americans think we need all the latest stuff, and our country has become extremely materialistic. The people in our country could easily stop the vast majority of starvation in the world, but instead we "have" to buy the latest stuff all the time.
