holy ricecakes yeah, in 2 kids room with Changbin. Talking about how older trainees told him not to bother learning anything, he’d debut just because of his face. And how much it hurt him, to be seen just as that, and how it made him so determined to be better at everything he could. Even now, in a recent radio interview, the host was going on and on about Hyunjin’s looks and you could see how uncomfortable he was getting. The other members tried to deflect it. AFAIK, he’s fine with being called good looking-it’s that having that be the very first thing people say that bothers him. From the other groups I follow, that seems to happen to quite a few “visuals”-they just handle it in different ways.
