There is “Olympus Mons” in the MV. That’s a mountain in Mars and it’s the biggest mountain discovered in our solar system but in the lyrics they are talking about “feeling like titans” and again in the MV Felix is literally playing god. He makes rain and there are thunders like Zeus, god of sky and thunder who also rules as king of Olympian gods in “Mount Olympus” Also “Ate” is the eldest daughter of Zeus. God of mischief. She tricked both men and gods to rash and inconsiderate actions. With Hera (Zeus’ wife) she tricked Zeus in to banishing her from Olympus and made him sign an oath saying his next son would be a hero and a ruler on Earth :D

I think the reason we didn’t see them achieve that moment of reaching the top of the mountain is because the song isn’t supposed to be about the process of climbing the mountain, it’s a celebration of having already achieved the mountain. “Mountains, Mountains. I woke up on the mountains. Ain’t nobody stopping me, I’m walking like a Titan.” And later, “This is cloud nine; we’re at the top.” The song is about them celebrating what they have achieved, the video is them as the gods on Mt. Olympus.

I think this video has a lot of god references. In the beginning the store sign is Olympus Mons, how they are programming everything with the laws of the world, their actions have a direct effect on the city like with the hand shot/cars/watering etc, they mention Titans and "the lost pantheon" as well, not to mention a song on the album is called Ate and all the lightning in the MV. I think this is saying they are climbing the mountain to become gods of their industry, and I have to say; they're not wrong. One of the biggest names in K-Pop for the last several years.

Something I loved about this, was that most of the time, that shaped pendulum object they're all playing on is almost always swinging, APART from when Bang Chan is leaning on it! And then the npcs are all trying to push and move it and failing, while he's just chilling against it. To me this sort of gave the meaning that they'll do what they want and they can't be made to move when they don't want to.

I just found this on my google news feed. But I have yo say thank you so much for breaking down how it was made. For screen freezing & explaining each scene. I can't watch mountains bc of the insane amount of flashing. I can now listen to a description of what was happening in each scene & confidently glance over at the screen occasionally to get a sense of what your discibing wo the fear of physical repercussions of the lights flashing in my eyes. I love watching Jordan's videos so much - I can't wait for him to do JJAM! I definitely had a different interpretation of the video and was probably wrong because I thought the vid was about them basically already having reached the top of the mountain like they were "gods" or something and thats why those laws in the beginning that Felix was typing was kind of him being a God and writing the laws of nature.
