I love love love the number of times you paused and the insane amount of info you.uncovered here while explaining the editing! okay time to cry a little: i knew it had to based somewhat on real feelings because like they are giving up their youth. i mean i think the age range for them is 21-25. they came together in 2018 meaning they have lost the tail end of their teens and all of their college years really.

He could never make many friends because they all left or debuted without him, and when he was the only trainee left, he struggled with suicidal thoughts and depression. In his own words, stray kids really did save him and I’m glad he was able to find a family in them ❣️

@@HelloD-n1n Bangchan got the Ive thing which felt like massive misunderstanding, the "insensitive stuff" was Hannie but also like in context he was like 13 and hadnt said much different than what stupid 13 year old kids say when trashtalking without understanding what they are saying properly. It wasn't something he should've been eviscerated for and a sad reflection of what happens when too much of our learning to person is out there immortalized in typed out font to be ripped forward at any time without clarity of when-where it came from or what growth the person has had since.

YES! I was really surprised he didn't point this out. You can feel like you're being eaten alive at times when outside opinions, judgments and expectations force their way into your head. To me, this sequence with Seungmin is one of the most disturbing. He's squeezed into that narrow hallway, with nowhere else to go, doubts and questions chasing him and then he is surrounded and on the verge of being chewed up and swallowed by it all. 😧 Horrifying.

Social path honestly broke me when it was released. It's been a while since skz have done such a coming of age/dystopia concept and it was fun to see. Bang Chan saying that he wrote social path wanting people to be able to relate to it and he succeeded because this hit home. The lyricism and concept were flawless and literally had me writing an essay on it + collaborating with LiSA was like my multiverse of madness - Thanks for reacting Jordan, as an aspiring video editor you always teach me sm

Interesting interpretations of the song. I like what you thought of. Chan has talked about how he wrote the lyrics about his years as a trainee. Since he was a trainee for 7 years, he has seen a lot of mental suffering watching all his friends either debut without him, or get dropped from the programs. Chan has always looked up to LiSA & the Kids were very excited to collaborate with her. Let's see. Things I noticed in the MV. -The bag people seem to be representative of both faceless people who are both worshiping & hating at the same time, or inner doubts & thoughts that come when they are alone. -I.N is the first to stand against the tide of people & grasp the light. -Everyone stays isolated till Chan gets taken by the hands. They all had separate things happening. Being isolated, being stared at, being forced to constantly run, being chained in one place, etc. Then Chan is taken & they are suddenly moving. -LiSA seems to be a unified voice leading them in a direction. She has the lines " the ashes to prove my passion burning endlessly" (Or close to it....I am horrible at remembering exact lyrics) -When they are unified & moving against the crowds, the ones who are most able to withstand pressure without flinching are in the lead. (Lee Know, and Changbin are the most obvious at the front making a path for the others) -When they reach the wall Chan had been trapped against, they tear it open. There is only 7 of them when this happens....They are going through to reach Chan. (Chan has said in multiple instances that the other members have saved him. If it wasn't for them, he doesn't even think he would be on this planet) -When they are 8 is the only time you see them smile. -There are shadowy hands that are trying to touch Changbin in the beginning, and just as he wakes up you see clawed hands reflected in his eyes/the moon. -Felix's wing actually kinda seems slightly separate from him. Almost as if he has a guardian angel protecting him. It lifts & reveals him a little before starting to cover him again. -In the final dance scene, the only ones with no red in their outfit are Chan, Changbin, and Felix. I listened to someone explain that the colours kinda mean something. LiSA has a strong red & black theme. She seems to represent courage & determination. The others have red in their outfits because they gained those from outside sources. (Like the other members, or helpful people) The three who have no red are ones who already had those and didn't get them from an outside source. Changbin & Felix are the least effected during the MV. Felix already had an inner fire, and Changbin refused the shadowy hands. Chan was taken, but he didn't stop trying to escape. There are many flashes of Chan staring ahead, or jerking awake & not just allowing himself to be swallowed. You see him float above the people who took him, until the others break through to him.

(I also got reminded of their origin color and style, Red and Fire, maybe because of Chan's source and that's another reason why i love Social Path so much) Showing skz survival show clips really hit the bull's eye on how Stray Kids have given up their youth for their dreams. And pointing out LiSA's role is a five star review coz Stray Kids have seniors they look up to as much as they also consistently send the message that stray kids everywhere all around the world make stray kids stay. Chan wrote this about his own experiences. His story is so heart wrenching. He left everything at 13 in Australia & went to Korea alone. He was basically alone for 6 years till he met Han. 😢 I remember him mentioning being literally alone in the dorms one year when everyone got cut from JYP & he was literally the only 1 left. Can you imagine being a young kid alone in a massive empty dorm. All his friends had debuted, & everyone else was cut. He made a decision never to get close to anyone again and ended up in a really dark place. He's made more than one reference to his mental health suffering during this time. Luckily he met Han & Changbin to form 3RACHA then later the rest of the boys & he said they saved him. 😢😭😭😭 He's literally a walking miracle. ❤❤❤❤ (Hence the levitation or ascending visual) He is so incredibly strong to overcome all he did. Knowing this made this song hit so hard.😢

This song is obviouslty about Chan's years as a trainee but as always with SKZ when they create a song there are often layers to it. I think people have been very astute in mentioning the individual fears of heights etc, but one thing no-one seems to have caught on to is the mean of social path as in societal expectations. This gives the song much wider meaning and relatability, especially in Asian cultures where it can be harder to stand out from the crowd and do your own thing. This has always been Chan's way; from selecting his own members, to not doing typical love songs... There are a lot of expectations and obligations placed upon idols, but also every day people. You are expected to go to school, get a job, marry someone of the opposite sex, have kids, buy a house. It's the path society puts you on, and when you try to forge your own path it comes with challenges of feeling isolated and lonely, or like people are against you - even if they are people that care about you, but are worried about how others will react to your choices.

I agree it is just too good , this song is a true representation of SKZ Your seeing what we have always known our boy's see it for what it truly is but they know we true Stays are with them all the way cheering them on and to keep fighting for the Social Path , I'm on the same path so I know how they feel. SKZ are also modern day poets and prolific writers. I'm so proud of them especially of Chris and Felix my fellow Aussie's but I love all Our SKZ FOREVER AWESOME..
