my opinion for this is that Hyunjin is fed up of him being called the "handsome guy with long hair" bcoz that's often people recognize him, he doesn't want to be recognized by his face, but his talents. that's why he cut it. Sometimes I wonder when Changbin always calls himself the visual or the most handsome member because he is saving Hyunjin from that identity of being handsome. but that's sweet if it is. 😅🤭

We tend to call Hyunjin a ''prince'' or very handsome quite a lot, but he's such a talented, kind hearted, gentle, caring, chaotic, passionate and hard working man.
