They made 3racha as a rap/hip-hop (i may be wrong) group and made a lot of songs together before the debut of Skz. 3racha now are the main songwriters and producers of Skz There is a hunt for Chan's laptop because it was proven one too many times that a lot of the songs they release are made many months and even years ago and these songs just sit there in Chan's laptop waiting patiently for the time to come.

All the subunits of SKZ is named with “Racha” originated from their producer subunit - 3Racha including Bang Chan, Changbin, Han. It was a play on words with the word sriracha. 3Racha started on SoundCloud with this name, but when they ended up debuting with Stray Kids, they kept the 3racha name, and now everytime they have a credit on a song, 3Racha is written in brackets next to their name (so like every song has a 3Racha credit). From this, fans unofficially nicknamed the other 2 sub-units, DANCERACHA (which is Lee Know, Hyunjin and Felix, and are in charge of dance/specialise in dance) and Vocalracha (Seungmin and I.N, and previously Woojin, who is an ex-member of SKZ (but both Woojin and SKZ don’t really want to be associated with one another, they have gone on separate paths) and are in charge of/specialise in vocals). These nicknames were seen by SKZ and their staff and are actually now officially used on Korean music shows and SKZ themselves use it, so yeah, those are our official rachas. Then, Stays found little combinations of groups and then gave them a specific racha. I think this itself started from when sun-unit sings were released, but instead of them being made in official sub-units, we got different combination, so they were nicknamed (unofficially ofc, since these aren’t ones that are commonly used) as new rachas. From there, Stays went wild, and now we have Paboracha, Savageracha, Brainracha etc. It’s honestly kind of adorable how Stays have made these little ‘rachas’ specifically a SKZ thing, and even SKZ have noticed it a couple of times.

So 3racha came from the predebut rap unit name cause it sounds like sriracha in Korean. After the group debuted all subunits started getting unofficial racha names from the fans and then the group and the company started using them as well. Some examples of both official and unofficial racha include vocalracha (Seungmin and IN), danceracha (Felix, hyunjin, Lee know), paboracha (hyunjin, lee know, and Han), nyangnyangracha (Felix and Lee know), and gymracha (Chan, Changbin, and Han) and of course there is the original members of 3racha (who are also the members of gymracha) Chan, Changbin, and Han.

To answer your question Ben, __Racha is what we call in the STAY fandom a sub-unit. 3Racha (Bang Chan, Changbin, Han), the producing sub-unit debuted before SKZ did and therefore every official sub-unit was born with the name Racha. e.g. Dance Racha - Dance unit (Lee Know, Hyunjin, Felix), Vocal Racha - Vocal Unit (Seungmin, I.N). And because of that, whenever 2 or more SKZ members have something in common, they become __Racha e.g. Cat Racha - Cat Personalities, Pet Racha - The Pets of The Members, Baby Racha - Maknae line and so on and so on. There can possibly be more than 20 Rachas that STAY made. Hope this helped and awesome video!
