Side Effects is a complete masterpiece. Its bold. It’s experimental. No one in kpop can imitate anything remotely close to this creation. This is one of my favorite choreos bc I love how they emphasize the ripple effect and imagery in this choreography imitating actual side effects. I swear this song and Maze of Memories are like auditory experiences. Songs like these leave audiences thinking “wtf did I just go through?” You know? but in a good way!

The way they are able to make a song and video so fun yet serious is so cool, all their music is so amazing! This is the first time I have listened to a group and genuinely love all their music! "Knowing about Stray Kids and NOT stanning them should be illegal." Agreed. And yet, they are one of the groups that gets the most hate for some reason and I don't understand it. When us Stays see hate comments, we just roll our eyes and ignore it. Like the one 3racha song Intro says, "Haters only hate because they live low." People often accuse SKZ's music of just being noise, but I honestly just think it's personal preference of what genres of music people like or don't like. So many elements of God's Menu MV can be seen as clapping back to this (the construction site scenes, and the idea of "pot and pan noise music" with the kitchen scenes). On Chan's most recent Vlive, he read a comment that accused SKZ music of being construction music and responded with "You know what? I agree. Because we construct our own music." And I feel like Chan's response perfectly describes who he is as a person.

You know, I've never understood the point of hate. I mean, I get that some people dislike things and that one particular song isn't going to be for everyone. Hell, even some of my KZbin videos get dislikes and all I do is sit here and listen to music...but what I don't get is why people have to take things as far as telling someone that you hate or strongly dislike something. Like if you do, then you don't have to keep it to yourself per se, but no one cares y'know? Like, Stray Kids aren't going to change just because some people don't like the way their 'noise' sounds. Like you so rightfully said - everyone has their preferences. At the end of the day music is quite literally just noise, and some people like different noises than others. And Chan's response to that is perfect. Beyond the wordplay I think the best part of that sentence is that he is proud of what he makes with the boys and nothing will take that away from them! Listen carefully to the beat drop (chorus part) once again. The lyrics that's not clear because of the beats are: "Common side effects may include nervousness, insomnia, nausea, agitation, anxiety, sweating, vision problems, psychosis, numbness, dizziness, headaches, weight loss." That statement clearly speaks about what the song is conveying. Side effects of a medicine (example, anti-depressant pills, etcetera) that's usually prescribed to people with mental illness like depression, anxiety, and such. You can also see it in their choreography, which is really chaotic and has a lot of hand movements that symbolizes what's going on in one's head whenever anxiety or other mental illness attacks him/her. The back-up dancers represents each member's shadows. (Credits to other stays' theories that I included here) This is why Side Effects is a piece of art, not just an ordinary EDM music. It's a masterpiece with great artistic expression that proves Stray Kids' uniqueness and amazing talent. It is once again, produced by 3RACHA. More love to your channel! ❤️

Storyline: Clé 2: Yellow Wood’s intro track Road Not Taken is inspired by Robert Frost’s poem. About following your own path. And that’s exactly how the story leads up to in Side Effects. At the beginning of the mv Stray Kids are at a bus stop and it’s seen metaphorically as a fork in the road. Hence the 2 moons in the sky. They can either take the bus led by the system “to the New World” or take the path one less travelled by. Thus creating 2 universes that follow the same timeline just two different paths. According to Bang Chan, Jeongin (IN) is considered the glitch in all of this. Throughout the Clé series, he is more aware of what’s happening in both worlds than the other members. Side Effects itself talks about the side effects of growing up such as depression, insomnia, anxiety, etc and the story continues, in Double Knot and Levanter. I know TMT and Astronaut are bside tracks but the mv’s for these also take part in the storyline just like how TOP also takes a part in the storyline :) they’re like side details that I can wrap up after Levanter though, so no rush. Just thought I’d put it out there.

My GUY never apologize for pausing and replaying and whatever you want or need to do to get the most out of these songs and videos- we know they can be a looot to take in xD So in this mv, some things to take note of are the two moons in the background, as well as the key at the end of the video. They both tie into Stray Kids ongoing universe- the story that is being subtly told mv-to-mv, and will continue to show up in future mvs. Once you've caught back up to God's Menu, I highly suggest you check out this video they released called "Prequel highlight reel" or smth like that (idk, i can link it for you once you get closer lol) because it goes through and explains a lot of the story (but not all cause they gotta keep their secrets ya know). And dude, it's a really freaking awesome story! Anyway! This song has one of my favorite choreos skz has ever done. Whether you react to it or watch it on your own time, another thing i would recommend is their performance version of this song! The bridge part's choreo is stunning, and i remember the first time i saw it was when i saw them live. I had never seen the full choreo before and just that part left me speechless!

This song is sth else. I'm so glad Stray Kids aren't afraid of trying different styles and producing what they love, not following the trend to satisfy everyone's tastes. Also, if only you could know how many bangers they've teased us with... We literally have a list with the songs we want them to release asap. one of my favorite songs, which at the first listening I did not understand at all😂 the realization came after a few repetitions, xd. I also love that this track just blows up on stage. Idk how you watched that first reaction without pausing, I personally find it hard watching it for the first time. It has a lot of details like the lion emblem from Miroh on that bus, the two moons and that flower Chan pointed out on the grass which is the same one on district 9.
