Stray immediately became my favorite game after I played it. Not just because LOL KITTY CTA, but because of the beautifully designed world and the fun robot friends and the very Pixaresque story/vibes. Happy to see it take something home.

I know I'm a bit late, but when I heard STRAY got an award I was so insanely happy for them. It's hard for a lot of indie games to be up here like this, especially a CAT robot game. CG for Stray!! Hopefully we get a part 2 or DLC maybe.

A well deserved win, the score, the world building, the designs and the overall atmosphere is so chill, the robot designs were my favorite, they were simple yet detailed and they reminded me alot of Canti from Fooly Cooly with the tv face expressions and slender and sleek design.

I think it’s a really good game. The only problem is that there’s not anything to do after beating it. I managed to get all achievements on it except the one where you have to beat the game in under 2 hours. I just don’t really want to do that.

This was the only moment i unmuted the stream that was running to try and get a free Deck and I regret that decision. If not the graphics and the idea of playing as a cat, this game wouldn't even be here considering how boring it is. Like ga damn, it had autonated jumps, how is that any fun

Then this game is not for you. The core of Stray is the experience and art direction (and world building). If you actually JUST care about the graphics and gameplay then this game is not for you. Sifu wasn't gonna win due to it's high, punishing difficulty, niche appeal, and the fact that some media outlets gave the game negative reviews (all of them mentioning the camera, difficulty and lack of replay value). You might say "Elden Ring won GOTY! So the difficulty argument is null!"; everyone on the Internet (players and the media) were rooting for Elden Ring to win; it was basically a meme by that point, regardless if Elden Ring's endgame is a drag, the final bosses being punishing and broken rather than challenging and fun (looking at you, Fire Giant), and it's piss poor narrative.
