I am a chukka lover and wear different brands and models such as Loake Pimlico and Kempton, Heschung Genet, Church’s Ryder, Rider Boots Fleming, and Sanders Hi Top, among others. I prefer to differentiate between "chukka" and "dessert boots", even though they are very close models.

I have had their Greenflex for more than a year and I'm very happy with them, particularly because the crepe sole on the Greenflex is of a darker color, which makes the staining much less visible. All in all, a very nice chukka option.

I think the MOVE insoles are some of the best. I like the Move All Day model. It’s a little thicker than their other offerings, but it’s very comfortable. I put them in some boots, and they made them feel like sneakers.

I have these in the ebano nubuck and I like them a lot. Definitely an improvement quality-wise over Clark’s. No real arch support, but I love how lightweight they are. They made me realize I just don’t like wearing heavy, clunky service boots. I like to feel nimble in my shoes!

I ordered some Adelante chukka boots. I'm waiting for them to arrive. These Astorflex books look kind of chunky for my taste. I prefer a narrower last profile.

This is a very good review. I've always liked these boots, though sadly they don't come in wide, so these days I'm out of luck.

They’re decently wide but I don’t think wide enough if you’re a EE or EEE.

My favourite insoles are alpaca wool insoles. They form to your feet somewhat like leather/cork, are warm but breathable, and lightweight.

Hi, pls whats the length of the removable foot bed in this size 10. I where a US 10.5 in my blundstone 550 and my foot measures 28cm. Since they don't have half sizes knowing the foot bed length will help a great deal. Thanks

I would argue that your feet should not be in super comfortable sneakers all the time. I prefer a crepe shoe for a lot of my travels due to versatility. These look great and I will consider a smooth leather or chromexcel.

@jonhdew3292 when I was training for a marathon I realized that the longer I padded and kept my feet comfortable, the less my feet healed and recovered from long training. Walking barefoot ended up making me recover from training way faster than using recovery sandals and sneakers. I'm not saying don't wear sneakers, just make sure you are not doing it all the time.

It’s an interesting argument, and I’m inclined to agree. I’ve been alternating between sneakers and penny mocs (the Oak Street ones) lately and the moccasins have much, much less cushioning and squish. Hopefully that’s a good thing.

agree, my feet get more sore after a long day of strolling around in "comfy" sneakers compared to having a whole days walk in boots

@@StrayReviews well I am looking to buy a pair of 'these' chukkas in Europe. All shops stock a greenflex... now most reviews on youtube (mostly not made by European youtubers) are about the brownflex :) .... so I don't know... maybe it is just a naming convention? Maybe the color before the 'flex' does not matter? Maybe it does? I don't know.

Have owned neither but the Astorflex seems better looking. I don't like the way the Jim Green vellies look, especially on the feet on the models on their site. I've been hesitant to try them, but I guess I will eventually.

Using the name of Steve McQueen to sell Astorflex is not an ethical way of doing it. It would help if you mentioned that the chukka he wears was the Sanders HiTop, aka the Playboy chukka.
