Originally the brainchild of Arjen Lucassen's (Ayreon, Star One...), Stream of Passion is now ready to release their second studio album. "The Flame Within" leaves its predecessor in the dust thanks to maturer songwriting that presents a further developed band able to give Gothic Metal a newfound profundity. Carried by Marcela Bovios' fantastic vocal lines, Stream of Passion delivers the entire spectrum of human emotions-at times dreamy and melancholic, at others uninhibited and forward pressing. In this way, heavy riffs merge with romantic undertones in majestic unity. Jens Bogren's (Fascination Street Studios) mastering work allows the tracks' subtle nuances to come into play. "The Flame Within" is more than a loosely arranged sequence of songs, but rather a holistic Gothic Metal masterpiece complete with mystic elements and sonorous symphonic romanticism.

I've seen them live and they are awesome! :D I even talked with Marcela (the singer) a bit when the show was over ,she's really nice. It was easy, cause she can speak Dutch, so I didn't have to find the words in English :P It's definitely worth to go see them live!

SOP, what can you say? i love all sorts of music from all over the world and SOP is no exception. a truly amazing metal band with extremly tallented people within it, and i mean every one of them contributes something to make the band what it is. but i do have to heap extra praise on Marcela Bovio, angelic beauty with a flawless voice, what a woman. oh and of course, the fantastic Lori.

All I can say is WOW, why I have not heard of them before is beyond me, but found out about them from Last.fm and then on to KZbin to hear their music. Their sound is clean and her voice reminds me of Epica. Will be grabbing all of their music for sure. 2 thumbs up on this band.

i didn`t know this band and i went to their concert yesterday, the opening for epica, the bassist is a cool guy, makes the crowd jump, gives so much energy, the lead guitarrist does some crazy stuff too, the bastery and the keyboard are very cool too, but the best is the girl, the interraction with us is awsome, i felt like falling into her, that voice is magic my advice. If this band is going to act near you, embrace that oportunity, this band is really a must see :)

Really sad when the news about their break up hit the web. Stream of passion has one of the best vocalist, Maria Bovio, in the gothic/symphonic metal scene. This band is just different in term of composition and approach to their vocal. Maria voice is just mesmerizing. She sings with such elegance and passion without overdoing her vocal. It sounds natural and distinctive. Wish her the best and hopefully will be pickup by a well-known symphonic metal band. They will forever be the most underrated symphonic metal band in history

They have nothing in common with WT any more. Wt are pop, in case you haven't noticed and Sharon went from the top of my fave singers to the very bottom of it. Marcella has possibly the best voice in metal, along with Floor and maybe Simone. What you hear in the albums is the exact same in a live performance and that's priceless. They are possibly the most underrated band I know of.
