I get the error "python3-picamera" has no install candidate And as such I have no legacy camera support in the menu either

I am trying this with RP5 and newest software build 6.6.31+rpt-rpi-2712. It is no longer Picamera but Picamera2. I have changed the following lines in your Python code line 2: WAS from picamera import PiCamera NOW from picamera2 import Picamera2 line 19: WAS camera = PiCamera(resolution=RESOLUTION, framerate=FRAMERATE) NOW camera = Picamera2(resolution=RESOLUTION, framerate=FRAMERATE) When I try and run it I get numerous errors Exception ignored in: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/picamera2/picamera2.py", line 406, in __del__ self.close() File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/picamera2/picamera2.py", line 607, in close if self._preview: ^^^^^^^^^^^^^ AttributeError: 'Picamera2' object has no attribute '_preview' Traceback (most recent call last): File "/home/fostervs/goyoutube.py", line 16, in camera = Picamera2(resolution=RESOLUTION, framerate=FRAMERATE) ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ TypeError: Picamera2.__init__() got an unexpected keyword argument 'resolution'

I have a picamera2 version in the tutorial series, try implementing that first to see if it works

When executing sudo apt install python3-picamera ffmpeg I get.... E: Malformed entry 1 in list file /etc/apt/sources.list.d/deb-multimedia.list (URI parse) E: The list of sources could not be read. Any help much appreciated.

Try using PiCamera2 instead i have a video for that, its the same thing really and is more supported now
