Knowing MatPat, I’m surprised he went head first to the conclusion that Sophie is a former caretaker rather than even considering a metaphor: Sophie dressed in a caretaker outfit being hunted by Bon = Brian being CONFUSED as Sophie by Bon. MatPat has done some theories where he poses similarities and symbolisms like that, but with this particular series, he’s done some very questionable assumptions and statements. Like saying “Shadow Man feeds me”, stating Edd and Molly are twins in later GTLive vids when in TWF 3 is shown, not once, but TWICE the fact that Edd is older, as well as in Guilty’s description. And that’s another thing; except for the first 2 vids, MatPat didn’t check Lucky You, Guilty and TWF3’s descriptions, depriving him of somewhat important information that he just got to know thanks to the OLD websites of Find Jack Walten. Just as you say, I’m not against him or anything, I love his videos, but his approach to The Walten Files is easy to nitpick at

I know I'm rather late but I'm glad you make these videos about The Walten Files. You're a trustworthy source and I don't really follow Game Theory as often because you touch up on a lot of things in a more trustworthy way. Thank you for talking about the Walten Files and doing as much research as you can do

I'm only guessing at my own theories, I just use as much detail as I can to back it up. I can't help but document the details I see, and that content appeals to some people but not all. Stuff like GT's does have a place, as... inaccurate as it is at times! ^^;

Yeah, I absolutely understand what you mean. I'm always guessing and theorizing with my brothers about the series all the time, basically every day lol. Of course! I do check out their stuff, I just prefer how you handle things and talk about subjects regarding the series more.

Film theory/game theory doesn't have the best track record when It comes to theory's. It's been like that for awhile. But I'll give them this they can bring some really good theory's to the table.

The Charles being a manager or something does feel like something that could be a thing certainly. :)

Actually thinking about it it kinda makes sense for Charles or whoever is inside boozoo being inside of the restaurant. Presumably very early in the day or at night as shown in bunny farm. He could be making sure bons burgers is ready for the day or locking up for the night if he was a Manager.

It seems like the people who are killed are people that could have found out about what happened to jack let me explain, Susan would have been killed cause if jack was in bon she would have seen him when she did maintenance, Ashley is obvious, Rosemary would be a risk to finding out about everything that happened while searching to find jack, this is only a idea and I don’t have that much evidence to support it so take it as you will

If the victims were planned, I don't think Ashley was part of it, considering the list didn't mention her, nor could have Felix (if its him) predicted that she was going to explore the backrooms and play the tape.

Previous continuity isn't too good a source though because things have and do change between continuities. Also, there's enough to believe she could have been one, but also enough to give me reasonable doubt at this time.

Before I go off on a brief tangent on Matpat, I have to say that you have a very nice sounding voice and I enjoy your analytical videos. ^^ Now I don't want to sound harsh, but every time I witness Matpat's videos I feel incredibly old. It's like his videos are specifically made for children with the way he edits his videos, how he narrates them, and make very on the nose jokes and observation. And that's not even mentioning the many times he doesn't do enough research and get things wrong. I can understand why some people still look up to him, since he was a pillar/inspiration to making theories in games and media. But for me personally, his content is not for me.

MatPat's videos are optimised for engagement with the algorithm I think. Knowing those things is actually part of another job he does (or used to do at least), so it's edited to be snappy, shorter, more engaging. And that's fair I think.

I know this video is a little bit old by now, but i'm pretty sure we actually do know that Charle's is the person inside Boozoo, a detail in Bunnyfarm shows after Charle's section, his missing poster shows up. You can see just a little black text at the pointing, and even though its shitty arcade graphics, you can tell that it spells out "Charle's", his second name is there too but its super hard to decipher, i can see a R at the beginning but otherwise too hard to read compared to the first name.

I really don’t think Chris is the shadow man, we have more evidence to point towards Chris just being a worker from Bon’s who was essentially just as oblivious to what was going on as every other worker. I believe that Chris can even be the one man seen loading Billy onto the moving truck with Felix in the 8-bit cutscene. That would explain why he knows of K-9, and why he knows about the company. I know this is a long comment but it’s just a lil idea to throw out there!! :)

I personally think we have to little information to say who Charle's is just yet, but i do agree that he is the most likely current victim as for who is possesing and inside the Boozoo animatronic due to what names Billy said in the relocation project, but more importantly why Billy would say those names via the casette tape, which by seemingly pure coincidence immediately led up to the death of Ashley. Billy's original purpose isn't known yet and i don't know about that, but it definitely involved something with the casette player that is installed into his stomach. What i do think though is that Billy was repurposed by someone to work as an activation for the other animatronics to wake up for some reason. This is due to how the casette tape calls out the names of each person who is assumably in the animatronics: Jack,(Bon) Susan,(Banny) Charles,(Boozoo?) Rosemary,(Sha) Sophie(who was probably intended to be stuffed inside one of them.) i don't have the best memory so If anyone remembers any names i missed please tell me. Anyhow, this seemed to be trying to call out for the souls in the animatronics to get active for some reason. What i think is most possible as the reason is to get rid of anyone who has been lurking around the K-9 facility, for the animatronics to kill or scare off whoever has seen something they shouldn't, with this casette tape that would make this occur probably being made by Felix to make sure nobody would be digging up the secrets of Bunny Smiles Inc. It could also have been done by some lunatic or something who thought it would be funny if someone walked into the K-9 storage, put the casette tape in billy and then would be killed by an animatronic. I have had a feeling a new character, which the shadow man could represent, could have done this, i don't really know but i do think the casette tape name listing was to awaken the souls for some reason, maybe for Sophie to get lured into being killed instead so she could join the rest of the family in death. I still nonetheless think that Charles is the name of the person inside Boozoo. (right now at least)

To be completely honest, a lot of the "mistakes" since alot of his assumptions haven't been confirmed or debunked so far, are very common around the community. Again, the "Feeds or Sees Me" is something that people tend to get mixed up, as well as the idea of Sophie being a former caretaker based solely on "he thought i was her". If you wanna give yourself another check on your own knowledge, look at Nexpo's video where he covers the series as well and brings a lot of elements similar to this.

Some of his assumptions are things that the wider community made a while back but has been since laid to rest. And 'feeds' wasn't as widely thought to be what was said until MatPat said that's what it was - at least I didn't know anyone else who said it was 'feeds' until he said it was. ^^; And you do know that I made my own theory videos a while back right? I'm fairly secure in my own knowledge.
