I think she's a bit unhinged but she does have valid points. While men do get shit talked online as well, it's not because they're women. That's accurate. As for solutions, As someone who is Black, I dislike being called a racial slur as soon as I get online playing something. Sure I can and do mute people but, I certainly think there could be stronger moderation tools. Lastly, just being silent, isn't always a solution. Nor should people have to be put up with being harassed regardless of gender (including men) or race. On another subject, look at the response to the new Assassin's Creed game has been and the racism that accompanied it. I just feel like the gaming space could be a bit better. That's all. Always appreciate your insights though. Take care.

I do completely agree that the gaming space is way worse for women and minorities, I wish there was a permanent solution but unfortunately there isn’t. I also understand your point with muting/ignorning, and I do now wish I would’ve brought up the point of stronger moderation because hardware bans could be another solution to this

I understand your points on this but I also don’t think the solution is just to stay silent, because whilst they aren’t getting the attention they may seek, it also means they get away with it, no repercussions means they will continue to just do it

As a woman who games, you just gotta be chill and sometimes go along with it and eventually no one cares if your a woman especially if you pick up on there humor lol. Also keep up the great vids :)

there has been so many things i wanted to say, and this explains a lot of it!!! i've had men, and women shit talk me irl in games or in the vc. many of us wouldn't say r ether sex (men or women... yes men can get r), but you are really not making a point thinking that all men are r women. also if she is talking about men, i don't think she understands that not all men benefit from the patriarchy that she probably thinks it does based on her general standpoints. i'm glad most men and women are fighting back against her views, if a guy said this you know what would happen; and it certainly wouldn't be this!!
