is there a reason you sometimes throw people at the side of the building when ulting them near the walker? I'm guessing the extra second it takes them to reach the ground gives you extra time to confirm the follow up slam

Not a lash player but I think it's about cornering your opponent. Most of these ults leave lash's enemies against a wall and or worse, in a corner. He also may do it for normalization to ensure everyone stays clump after the stun.

It's to increase the air time of the ult so that the Ult + Slam would hit at the same time. At 2:04 if Chazm didn't throw them to the building, he wouldn't be able to instantly kill Warden and stopping Haze + Kelvin from rolling first before getting slammed.

Purely for timing, if you throw to ground and slam, they can move in time to avoid slam. Against the wall adds a bit more airtime allowing you to slam at the same time they hit the ground making it hard for them to evade.

you cant parry the grapple but a common yamato tech is to cancel the grapple with space then light melee for more dmg
