That's my favorite lake. I spin fish it from a kayak. The quiet arm you fished first seems to predominantly produce jacks and often quite big. The bigger fish seem to be a bit slow puting on condition this year. I'll see if they're getting any fatter this weekend.

Love the lake videos. Trout fishing videos are pretty saturated with drift boats and wading. It's nice to see some quality stillwater fishing out of a boat.

In the NZ winter months. June - September. For brown trout it's March-May in Taupo (where Alex is based)
