Kendrick was always an amazing writer, but I do feel that going to therapy not only allowed him to better understand his own behaviors, but the behaviors of others as well. And I think that his masterful writing, plus his newfound knowledge, was what let him completely break down Drake’s character and actions in MTG. I mean, Kendrick completely obliterated that man. As one of the reactors said it: “[Kendrick] is talking to his soul!”
@TuchNGoh2 ай бұрын
Well said. Someone asked why he didn’t engage years ago. In my opinion I think he didn’t for many reasons, one of which being what you said. I think he was waiting to put an album out like Mmatbs before jumping into a huge beef (⏸️) Not only to learn more about himself, which helps him in a battle, but also to share his truth with his audience. Sharing your skeletons with the world effectively gives you protection from the angles in a beef (unless you’re skeletons are Epstein levels,lol). We saw it here with Drake, his shit didn’t hit the same because we knew Kendrick’s relationship situation from Mmatbs. That’s Just one reason, I KNOW this shit gets deep, and I love the fact that we’ll never know the FULL story, just adds more lore to this mf Kendrick. But yea shoutout to therapy, you can tell he’s been working on himself and it really showed with these songs.
@onesolopolo41943 ай бұрын
It’s difficult to say what line to do next because the last minute of this song hits you like a truck. People literally just sit there in silence because the song is so daunting and heavy and the record just stops on a dime so you’re left alone with that feeling; like YOU did something wrong; that feeling when you let your homie down. Not Like Us is cool, it makes you feel cool but this is something else, this feels like you’re in actual danger. Probably his Like That verse next because he wasn’t even featured on the song so his voice surprised everybody.

This was probably the most important verse in the beef. Drake stans keep saying, "Where's the proof?" When talking about the 11 year old daughter while not asking for the same recipes when it comes down to the allegations Drake made about Kendrick. At the end of the day, a lot of this beef is just allegations from both guys. So, a lot of these allegations come down to who you trust more. And this verse reminds us that you cant trust a word Drake says.
