The problem with my Amiko android box is that the settings has disappeared. I have the settings for the hardware but not the settings to see my apps and all the other utilities of that settings. And I don’t want to reset to factory mode because I’m really affraid that something will go wrong bevaise these amiko boxes tend to give lots of problems (like the settings option to vanish) and apart from that thr box is running smoothly in iptv that is my main interest about having this kind of box. But some apps are starting to call for updates and I can’t do it because it says that there are apps running on the background that don’t allow it. So I’m stuck basically and any help would be very welcomed.

Dude, just go into dev options go to the bottem and there should be this background proccesser thingy, set it to like 2 if u have a crappy device, 3-4 is recommended.

That combination does work on all my old boxes, but not the new ones with Android 9. Is it the box itself or Android 9? Need urgent help.

It might be an operating system not the Box. You can manually stop apps by going to settings>Apps>App Name>click on Force stop and clear cache.

@@StreamingNerds Thanks for the answer. I contacted support and they showed me how. It was by dragging out a bar on the bottom that was hidden. That bar has a round icon to leave it fixed, and a square icon to click on to show all the open windows. Thanks anyway.

I tried this 3 days ago and it all worked perfect. Now when I press the alt then tab it all appears but as soon as I let go of the Alt button the running programs disappear and it goes to whatever page I happen to be on. No idea why this happens. Any ideas? T. Y

This doe snot work on the new boxes. Do you know where that option is now. I have a Logitech Media Keyboard, which works fine with previous boxes, and not with the new ones, both the dedicated keyboard key for just that, and using Alt + Tab. What's going on with the new boxes?

Once you are inside Apps, take your Pointer to the left or right top corner and see if you can get 'Running' option on your screen or if you can find Drop Down option on your screen, then you can click on that to get 'Running' and other options. Also there is no way to stop all apps automatically running in the background.

Whenever you exit the app, go to setiings>More settings>Apps, open that app, click on Force Stop and clear cache and that should stop running from the background.

Hi Cool. Well no they are not that harmful that we cannot use them. Basically, every wireless device is harmful to an extent but we are also very dependent onto them. So i would advise turning off the Router and your Wireless devices when you are not using then and when you re going to sleep so that they dont give our any waves when dont need to use them.

Try the app Greenify ....... it will show you all the apps that automatically start upon boot up and hibernate them. Safe and effective ......all the apps will still work but wont be sucking your RAM from the get go (can I say that : ) ). Cut my boot up time by half. Good luck.
