@MidnightMan sorry bro but that video just showed how to multistream horizontally Not set up seperate alert pop ups and seperate overlays (for example twitch saying recent follower under the camera and youtube saying recent subscriber) Completely separate

To set overlays up you would need to make sure you have both your youtube and twitch merged in streamlabs so that the alerts are ingested together. Stream labels are the overlay type for showing names like recent follower. streamlabs.com/dashboard#/settings/account-settings/platforms You can also try using two separate streamlabs links. One from twitch, the other from youtube.

@MidnightMan but if the alerts are ingested together is someone donates bits that will show on KZbin as well which won't make sense? The only way I see around it is maybe running obs and streamlabs and having twitch setup on one and youtube setup on the other (horizontal). Custom alerts and layouts. But having both obs and streamslabs running will eat up my resources

It will show as long as you’re using the same or correct browser links in your OBS project. You don’t need to run multiple programs to show different alerts.

I couldn't get my 4 channel Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 to work with OBS without am ASIO plug-in, and it would not work with StreamLabs. This is a game changer for me. I can now use StreamLabs within OBS, and utilize my ASIO plug-in, woohoo!

Question: For the multi stream option, would you need double the bandwidth to push out those streams to both platforms? For example, if I see my bitrate for streaming to 9000kbps for KZbin, and I want to stream on Twitch and give it 9000kbps, would I need at least 18mbs upload speed in order to do that? Or does some some server take care of the second streams bandwidth? Hopefully I worded that correctly. Edit: I just searched it and it says that their servers will take care of the rest. My next question is is there anyway to change resolutions depending on where you multi stream? For example, if i want to stream 1440p on KZbin but 720p on Twitch, is there a way to do that? My last question is there a limit to how long you can multistream? Thanks

Very helpful, but no matter what i do, nothing is shown on stream. When i test a follower alert for example, It works in my obs. But when i am streaming, follower alerts just dont appear. Tried several things i read on reddit. Just wont work 😢

Yep, just push your stream through OBS only, not through the plugin. I showed how that’s done after the pushing stream section of this video.

Great vid as always mate - appreciate the update. However - I’m still struggling with the ‘why’ on this topic. Like aren’t you just better to migrate fully to OBS rather than using the plugin. I get there are some UX differences but tbh the only thing I felt SLOBS gave me extra over OBS was heavier CPU usage 😂

You can monitor and output your alerts audio source and you’ll hear them! Make sure for the source you have “control audio in OBS” selected
