If you have installed new batteries and find that your light doesn't illuminate when you switch it on, be sure that the batteries you are using are bare metal and have no plastic sleeve/wrap around the sides of the body. The reason being there is no positive contact on the battery compartment hatch to complete the circuit. Instead,the positive contact is along the side of the battery compartment and therefore your battery must be bare to make proper contact. I hope this helps

So I did some research and bought this attachment for my Rock Island armory 1911 9mm. This is supposed to fit a non-railed 1911 5 inch barrel by my research. And this thing will not fit around the trigger guard. I’m afraid if I keep trying to take it on and off these screws are going to strip. Is there another light I should’ve bought?

When I installed them they don’t turn on anymore before installing I checked to see if the batteries worked and they did now after installing them, they are not turning on with the laser attached too the gun.

what worked for me is to tighten and untighten the screws as it changes the way laser ever so slighty. just keep adjusting the screws until you got it to the spot you want. took me a while but i was able to get it done. just make sure to keep the allen key handy as i feel with time it could get out of zero.

Great tutorial. I just received this light for my springfield XDM pistol and followed your instructions to the T however after installing the batteries the light doesn't turn on. I've even uninstalled it from the firearm and then tried again but nothing. I can only assume that possibility the batteries are dead. I dont know how long this was on the shelf before i ordered it. What's your opinion?

I received my TLR-6 for Father's Day i finally went to install. Unfortunately, it appears that the allen wrench provided instantly stripped the screws when trying to loosen them. I'm sort of stuck, can someone please help? I love Streamlight products but very disappointed in the quality of something so simple. Would love to avoid returning the item for a replacement, if possible?

@@seecesar Most folks love the TLR6 because of addition of the laser, but if you want some options when it comes to where your switches are AND more lumens- the TLR9 or 10
