I disagree slightly. there are a couple scenes where the scene was forced into a direction that it didn't need to; the scene at right before they are called by the king is the strongest example I can think. Alex is sitting all comfortable, watching Henry at the piano, playing a piece. By having Alex get up and move over to Henry to show the audience Alex love for Henry really didnt need to happen. Alex loves Henry from accross the world and it shows. It would have been stronger to show that gap of Alex relaxed and Henry rigidly forced into a position with Alex asking the question from the chair. Don't get me wrong I have seen this movie about 12 times and everytime the overwheming amount of romantic fairy tale gives me the feels. The first time I saw it even though I thought it was over hyped I gave it a 7 but its jumped to a 9+

To me it felt like he was really proud of henry in that moment and happy. So much that he needed to get close to him and watch the man of his life closer

My favourite scene was Alex' s call to henry. Specially when he said " baby" with so much ❤️ And their meet in the middle of the staircase. How they melted in each other's arms❤.Henry's desperation when he said "hurry"😢❤. Those two scenes were the best😊

As someone who is SEVERELY critical about gay male movies, “Red, White, and Royal Blue” is a welcoming film into the “Representation Matters” pantheon of terrific gay movies. It’s frank, it’s fresh, it’s funny. And as actor Taylor Zakhar Perez notes here, most other gay movies seem to always present sadness and tragedy which becomes tired and stereotypical in itself. For me, those are not films I would always look up to. “RWRB” changes that negativity with pleasantness and absolute delight.

Their chemistry was so natural, and they conveyed so many important messages in such a powerful way. They also did an amazing job putting feelings and things that are hard to say with words into a visual, and that made me love it even more than I did. I absolutely loved this movie, and it's one of my new favorite romance movies to watch. If I'm ever feeling down or missing someone, I know I'll throw on this movie. great job :)

At first, I thought it was a very cheesy film. But the portrayal of the main characters by the two actors was very engaging. I think this film will become a classic. My favorite part was when Henry showed Alex a most intimate part of his upbringing, the museum. The dance part was superb. Excellence work!!!

Perez and Galitzine are wonderful in this film. Much has been said about their chemistry, which is palpable. But neither actor has shown as much heart or honesty in their other work. The difference is the sensitivity of the creative team. Director Matthew Lopez and cinematographer Stephen Goldblatt give them a glowing jewel box to inhabit. With the addition of the intimacy coordinator, Robbie Taylor Hunt, the intensity of the character's relationship materializes on screen. You sense that there was pride and love coming from all departments and that that provided a platform which allowed the two lead actors to become two lead characters that make us laugh and cry and love them. Cynics have attacked the film for not being what they want or think it should be, but that is short-sighted. The achievement of RW&RB is that it is completely what it sets out to be -- a smiling act of hope and love.

I haven't seen this movie but I can assure you Nicholas has put a lot of heart and dedication in portraying Luke in Purple Hearts. You should watch it. It'll make you realise how amazing of an actor he is.

This is the best movie of the year! Nick and Taylor were amazing in there roles, snd the chemistry between them made this film come to life. I know it has been wonderful to see such a positive influence on being gay and not a negative reaction. So many films end so sad and unhappy. Thank you to Matthew for directing such a positive and encouraging film with a happy ending.

One of my favorite scenes in the movie is when Alex and Henry were laying on opposite ends on a hammock and reading books. It made it more special when Alex was reading a Casey Mcquiston book☺️🤭

Taylor's interview was an empathic, heart felt embrace of the estranged gay community, acknowledging their isolation and denying any notion that we/they are in any way different. His child=like sweetness is so modest, so sensitive, sp embracing of the pain one must feel silently. It matters little his sexuality, his humanity is the zenith of comfort. I'm sure Nick did enjoy his time in the saddle.

The film seemed to me to be a light, summer comedy, with characters somewhat inspired by reality, but associated in a totally different way, with a" more unconventional" subject and with young and sympathetic actors who did everything possible to prove that they are talented, credible, ambitious and very hard working. I don't consider this film intended only for the LGBTQ community, but for whoever is "broader in concepts", willing to have fun and to see the play of these funny actors.

This movie is a great example for straight actors being perfectly capable of playing gay roles. Galitzine plays Henry extremely convincingly. Especially during the sex scene, the looks he gave and everything felt super real. I just wanted to say this, because I get seriously annoyed at over-sensitive people who think only gay people should play gay characters. Decades of trying to normalise homosexuality and now some people, who think they are LGBT-activists, are trying to undo that by putting too much emphasis on sexuality and making it a tool of exclusion.

This movie was so relatable and everything felt real. Kudos to the cast and the behind-the-scenes staff for a job beautifully done. So many same-sex romance stories have tragic endings. We so needed a story with a happy ending. I hope for a sequel that is just as good, if not better, and also has a happy ending. No tragedies or break-ups for our protagonists, please. Our characters deserve to have happy lives…together. Challenges, yes, but they must stay together. 😊

I absolutely loved this movie. I laughed, I cried, and this is what I like in a movie. The real emotions that are presented by the two main actors. I lost myself in their story and was rooting for them. Uma Thurman did a absolutely fabulous performance as Madam President and her personal assistant was fantastic. I do have a question however. Where can I find a hoodie that was not only worn by Alex but also Henry ? Lol
