The acting and visuals in this film really were just absolutely superb. I’ve never seen people show terror in their screams in such a real way. That scream he let’s put when the tank is driving over him and Paul in the trench was just insane. You wouldn’t think someone could reproduce something like that so real. They really have something to be proud of in this film.

Just watched this movie it made me cry. This touched me because down to our basics instincts as humans all of us wants to love, be loved and be surrounded by love and loved ones. Something that truly struck me in Felix's portrayal of Paul was the steady progression of dread and hopelessness on his face. As his school friends die all around him, one by one, and then Kat, he just has nothing left. Felix really nailed this subtle detail for me, he was exactly as I imagined Paul when I first read the book probably 20 or more years ago. This was incredible.

One of the best films I've ever seen. Director took good ideas from many other films and did an amazing job using them here. Not a typical war film, more of a great work of art. I wish they included the boot camp adventures in this film instead of leaving it out. Also, in the book, few young soldiers hook up with French girls and experience physical love for the first time. In this film, that was left out. Presumably hoping for a bigger emotional impact in viewers. If one dies without ever experiencing love, it is more tragic...

There was something unique about this one that i can't express in any other way. absolutely remarkable and beautiful. actors and production team did fantastic and phenomenal job and i can say they poured their heart and soul onto this one, this will be the kind of movie that can be watched for even future generations. it just showed that horrendous side and terrorizing way that these soldiers went through at WW1, this is gonna hold on to me for a while, like at the end of movie i felt so empty and was devastated on the last shot. there were some scenes that really made me feel sick to guts and there were heart wrenching to watch and that i call the amazing portrayal of how these young men went through on either side of war.

All quiet on the Western Front is the only movie that I actually waited for and got excited to watch this year. Great performance from the actors and the way each scene plays really shows emotion and the harrowing reality about war. A 10/10 for me.

Great film. Very emotional and my heart was racing several times. I had never seen or knew about the original. This film also made me realized how much I had forgotten about World War I.

This movie was beautiful, a true job of artistry and pain. Had me tearing up every 20 minutes or so, really shows the reality of war unlike any other anti war movie I have ever seen.

I’ve seen this movie last night, well filmed, very unique way of producing this, it’s as close to all the action there is, beautiful piece of movie making, puts you in the edge of your seat, it’s a long movie but everything is covered during the war, you see this movie from the other side as they fought for there count, well worth a watch if you like history war movies👍🏻

Top.

I thought it was a cinematic masterpiece for what it is… Really a visual narrative of contrasts. The creepy use of food and starvation. The body 40 feet in the air hanging from a tree. Kat is reminiscent of the average man like people I know. Paul the tragic hero. I liked it a lot. I watched in German with translation then tried to watch it in english but it’s so hard to replicate the emotion of the actors in the moment.

I'm glad they made the film auf deutsche. Really added to the experience and it is slightly darker than the other movie/TV program but it did a better job portraying the intensity. More than anything it did well in showing how desperate the situation was for the soldier.
