Say what you want. My mother served in the 6888. She never talked about her service. I met Lena King before she died. This movie is epic! Thank you Tyler Perry!!!

If mom is still living, I hope through this movie and the comments and accolades, although late and overdue, lifted her spirits and demonstrated that her contribution and those of her peers and managers is appreciated and we are so proud! If she has passed, I hope you and the family are in awe and feel so proud of your mother’s legacy.

Tyler Perry deserves all the awards and kudos coming his way for this critically important film. Not enough people talk about his GROWTH as a director but I see it clearly. He's put his head down and kept getting better and better and this film is the evident of what He's learned and what's he capable of going forward. Bravo Tyler for shutting the haters up and going higher in your craft

A GREAT LEGACY TO GREAT WOMEN. WE SHOULD ALL CELEBRATE AND BE GRATEFUL TO THESE WONDERFUL WOMEN FOR THEIR COMMITMENT AT A TIME WHEN THEY AS INDIVIDUALS WERE NOT RECOGNISED BY THEIR OWN COUNTRY. THE MOVIE IS INSPIRING .A STORY THAT NEEDED TO BE TOLD, REMEMBERED AND CHERISHED. A LESSON IN PERSEVERANCE, NO MATTER HOW DIFFICULT THE TASK AND PREJUDICE. CHARITY ADAMS YOU ARE AN INSPIRATION TO ALL WOMEN AND A CLASS ACT.YOUR COMMENT ‘ OVER MY DEAD BODY’ TO THE GENERAL MAKES ME LAUGH EVERY TIME I THINK ABOUT IT. @@blackYUGMinds It doesn't matter. They were paid for their job of sitting or standing in the background. The main actors are there to promote the movie.

@@filmadcamp1512 that's your opinion but there is no movie without everyone involved that includes the people behind the scenes and the background everyone matters down to the crew and writers they make it possible for actors to even do wth it is they do the sole reasons why they are famous in the first place I hate when ppl like you worship movie stars and act like nobody else matters that put in the work behind these actors

The film was amazing. This video was curious. Was Tyler Perry's suit rained on or was that just how it looked? Why did the cameraman not pane back a little to show the grandmother's photo that her grandson was holding? What the Hell was Debbie Allen doing wearing that beat up old hat? As for the film itself, I'm sorry to say that I didn't buy the beautiful, wonderful Kerry Washington in this part. The arms behind her back and the delivery of speeches to the troops didn't seem natural. It seemed like an actress standing and delivering the lines. I think she got too caught up in trying to show the majesty of trying to portray Charity Adams. Even the greatest people in history were simply people on the day to day. MLK didn't talk like he talked during his I have a Dream speech, when ordering a burger. The uniforms seemed kinda off, kinda Hollywood. Too tailored, too crisp for the locations. Ebony Obsidian, who looked absolutely beautiful and made me fall in love with her---same thing. The uniform was off. Too taylored and that beautiful long hair in uniform, threw the look off. Don't get me wrong, this film was epic, but it shouldn't win any awards for costume design.
