I really enjoyed it and the visual effects and audio is outstanding, I just wish they'd held off on all the dialogue callbacks to previous films. It really took me out of the story which is strong enough to stand on its own.

The runtime for this movie should have been 2H 15 Mins. Alien Romulus is an Entertaining movie but felt very rush. No breathing space, so to speak.. It would be cool to see the characters plan their strategies to escape and have abit of a downtime. It builds up anticipation as well..

Well it was confirmed by Ridley Scott that the movie was originally longer but he told fede to cut stuff out cause he felt like it would end up losing people through half way of the film so that explains why it felt rushed and that’s the one Ridley Scott saw before when Fede showed him the movie

well the original movie doesn't really have a ton of downtime either. There is a lot of buildup, but once the xenomorph comes out, the crew is pretty much getting offed one after the other. Personally Romulus didn't really feel that rushed to me.

It just wasn't that great. The first 3 mins gave me hope. They could've done their own story. I still think Alien 4 had better gore than this movie. Which is weird since Fedes Evil dead was really bloody.
