I miss these old commercials they are still worth watching and we need to make these old video games more popular again like we did back in the 80s and 90s I understand we grew up but our childhood memories to these hasn't and we need to remind ourselves how much fun the 80s and 90s was.

Yep. Back in the early 90s, Street Fighter II was all the rage. It was the one game that took video games by storm, and was quite revolutionary.

Oh my God. I SOOOOOOO miss 90s commercials. But does anyone know if GamePro magazine even still exists? I remember back in the 90s that was the go-to source for every cheat code and if I remember correctly, that's how I learned many of the special SF II moves. 90s Throwbacks = Bliss.

Man, Capcom USA didn't really hid the fact that they badly wanted Guile to be the leading character of this franchise.
@KenMasters.
@KenMasters. Жыл бұрын
It was really Capcom Japan's idea to have a US lead. Even in SF1, Terry Bogard was planned to be the main character during development. (He can still be seen in the opening)

The first commercial would've made a great Capcom USA promo teaser for SFII: So you want to be a Street Fighter? *You're no Street Fighter!* Not until you master the eight World Warriors of the Street Fighter II arcade game! Hadōkens, Sonic Booms, and Yoga Flames are your projectiles! Hundred Hand Slaps, Lightning Kicks, and Electric Thunders are your ammunitions! Shōryūkens, Flash Kicks, and Pile Drivers are your missiles! Tatsumakis, Double Lariats, and Spinning Bird Kicks are your military-flails! Rolling Attacks, Sumo Head Butts, and Yoga Drills are your cannons. Beat all seven and face: Balrog! Vega! Sagat! *M. Bison!* Come back, then we'll talk! (Street Fighter II arcade game, new from Capcom, also available for console ports.)

I remember in 1992 they did a feature that went over four months with the strategy guide. Every month they'd review how to play two of the characters, and tips on how to overcome the "bossses" as well. The artwork was pretty horrible, I'm guessing that guide was just a reprint of it. It was so bad, it would make Nintendo Power's from that same time look like a Davinci!
