man i just it for ps3 and your ryu combos really helped me get started. played it a few rounds have to say its so smooth everything feels new and fresh and still have that street fighter feel to it. i love it , i wasnt feeling soul caliber 4 , but wow from the get go this game is so bad ass , much props for combos looking so sweet

Also, you should try using the Ex Tatsou as a cross up. If you hadnt already noticed, when you use it in the air, it changes Ken's trajectory. So use it to get behind an opponent quickly then let the combos fly

no, the aerial move is adding as a extra combo, then he crouches and punches, then he stands and punches. If u spam 1 button its not a combo, u gotta use moves in different postions to extend the combination from different angles, and moves.

MasterOGA is probably referring to combos for other chars. i've been trying things with ryu/ken for about 2weeks and shotos have little to no combo ability after MP/MK to dash. Take a look at some japan arcade tourney vids and you'll also see the limited shotos in action.

@animatorguy2 And also, there are baits and set ups in Tekken. Moves have frames and data, and Tekken is huge on those. If i flipkick you with Law, and you block it with someone like Bryan, that is half your lifebar gone or even the match given gameplay and juggle. On juggles, I think a low kick->combo->special/super ender is about the same as a Tekken juggle, but unlike SF, Tekken takes into account the environment(sometimes SF uses corners too), such as walls, and wall carry, pushback stun ect

Basic combo ending in Gahoduken.. .cancel it and as soon as you dash forward do the ultra. The opponent will still be recovering from the gohoduken and won't be able to jump away. :) Thats one way. It's difficult but with practice, very useful

@kkdb22 The style of it stays the same, it only changed in the first sequel of the first Street Fighter (Fighting Street in america). No matter how many sequels or other roads, you'll still throw hadoukens the exact same way as you did in Street Fighter 2.

ken can also do a shouryuken focous cancle dash foward as a launcher to set up his ultra. ryu can also to it too.

Actually, there is a scaling system in SF4. The longer the combo, the less damage it does. That being said, if you have a 5 or 6 hit combo into an Ultra, the total damage will be less than if you had done a 1 or 2 hit combo into an Ultra

I don't play SF4, only SF3 3rd Strike. I'm not sure what you mean by counter the grab. The only way to "counter" a grab is when you grab at the SAME time he grabs. This results the two characters being pushed apart slightly.

I thought that - I wonder if you can do an ex and 'cancel it out' straight away with another ex hadoken? I'm really looking forward to trying this stuff out - I played SF IV for a day on my small telly while my HDTV was repaired - got it back, loaded up SF IV "Round 1" - then - Red Ring of Death! DX Nooooo!!!!!! My 360 is busted badly, getting it fixed (hopefully?) but no SF IV for me.. Still, I have SF III and SNK though so its not too bad, just I have a nice new stick as well! ;_;

i was at capcom. they will bring out cap vs snk 2 for ps3 and x360 in august. it will be a HD Remix version. but i hope cap vs snk 3 will look like sf4, but with more characters.

In order to do ultra moves, you are required to map all 3 punch buttons, or all 3 kick button to one button. This should already be done for you already. I believe the default mapping is L1.

Even though the combos were amazing(I even noted down a couple of possible Akuma combinations) they always work if the opponent is facing the wall. But that tends to happen not so often on online play. Even so, great vid. Make an akuma one next. If you could focus on ways to pull off his ultra so that it won't be so easy to dodge, that would help A LOT. F***in A man.

The fire ball moves are : hadouken, metsu hadouken, and shinku hadouken excuse my spelling :P. There are more fire ball moves but those are the most popular

if you dash backwards he will still be able to jump away...the faster you can push the ultra buttons the less chance you have of actually hitting him. Like I said takes practice but it really does work.

How much experience do you have in all the street fighter games to get this good? Jez, I remember playing SFA3 12 hours a day for 6 months and I wasn't half that good plus whatever I had with SFA2, SFA, SF2/turbo/new challengers, ect.

well it's not EXACTLY at 5:02, it it comes in in that combo (at about 5:04 ish). it's the one with the triple punch button and uses one block of the super - but it's not the shinku or the metsu thanks!

I've always just called it the fire hadouken... In sf4 it takes two punch buttons to do (and a power bar)... I think it's like that in sf3 too... It used to only come out at random, in earlier Street Fighter games... Later they made it so Ryu could do it whenever... but in order to keep the game balanced (I guess), they made it like a quasi-super move, and gave all the characters quasi-super moves too.

You think Ryu > Ken in terms of speed? I think they're about exactly the same with exception that Ken seems to be able to cancel easier into other moves. Plus Ken's moves generally give out more hits per move like his uppercut and spin kick.

There are pretty basic combos, but nonetheless they are effective. One thing I would recommend is timing that Super into an Ultra. If you do it right, you can get Ken's full Ultra, not just the upwards attack. Also, why would you do a FADC and then not follow it up with more attacks? You are basically wasting 2 Ex bars to cancel out of a move you would already be out of by the time they got back up
