its good to just jump into ranked cos you'll find ppl at your level. Casual will be a mix bag of experts or newbies and it could push you into bad habits

What rank are you now? This is my 1st SF as well & I played a lot of casuals as well before playing rank. Just got Diamond, granted I said I'm an advanced player. Which is somewhat true as I have 20 years in fighting games.

i got the game today been watching guides and ive been struggling with combos and blocking since I play on ps4 gamepad amost of the guides went with classic cobtrols which im not really familiar off 😢 thanks for posting this it helps me a lot

If anything, would say to map Medium+Heavy to L2 because Heavy+Special is kinda easy to press at the same time right, It’s just circle & triangle/Y+B if ur on xbox. So like for Rashid, he has a cartwheel special move & the command for it is Medium+Heavy, which is kinda hard to do on controller tbh.

Haven't played SF since 3 when I was a kid that just smashed buttons and waited for the best. Not gonna lie this game caught my attention big time and with the help of Modern controls this might be my chance to finally get into FG and gitgud. The price is pretty much the last thing stopping me to get it right now but honestly I'm so close to just hit that purchase button on steam

You can tell you are a noob at street fighter. Street fighter DOES NOT USE NUMPAD NOTATIONS when writing. That is anime games. it uses cr.XX st.XX st.fXX st.bXX, qcb.XX, qcf.XX DP.... XX being the strenght of the kick or punch, like HK, or MP. cr = crouch st = standing. f = forward b = backward qcb/qcf quarter circle forward or backwards. Been written like this by the community for 30+ years

i used to play a ton of brawlhalla and got used to the smash-style controls. i'm looking to buy SF6 in the future, is it recommended for players like me to use modern? i've never had much success with half circles and shit.
