Love to see the underdogs who play charavters u dont see get shine for playing better goin up against better players and top toer characters. @@simphiiwe_ His second answer was right, it's Dragon Punch. Officially it refers to Ryu or Ken's Shoryuken moves (since Sho Ryu Ken translates to rising dragon fist), or any special move that uses the same input (forward, down, down-forward, punch) that launches the character up into the air and towards their opponent. Luke's Rising Uppercut and Juri's pinwheel kick are another two examples of it. Functionally though, it refers more to the direction of the attack than the input, since for instance, both Guile's Flash Kick and Dee Jay's Jackknife have a different input (both are charge moves), but they still get referred to as "DP" sometimes, and Marisa's Phalanx punch doesn't get referred to as DP, despite having the same 6-2-3 attack input, because it hits to the side on the ground rather than up in the air.

As someone who also remembers the SF4 days, I actually really like all of our new "genderswapped protege characters" except for Lily. I also absolutely love Marisa; she is not the kind of character I like to play in fighting games, but she's very funny with all the wild things she says, lol. I would like to see Vega show up on the roster eventually, though. As a side note, Jamie and Ed are also characters established as proteges of and/or successors to established characters; do you dislike them, too? Or do you only dislike these kind of characters when the protege is the opposite gender of the established character?
