Hey Jesse. I've a few answers to your rhetorical questions! Yes, canceling from the second Kick from the HP HK target combo is new this patch. Before we had to do something like HP HK OD Divekick off the knee hit, now we have a meterless option. Consensus seems to be that it's optimal in a couple scenarios, but not mandatory until you choose to expand your repertoire (unlike before the patch). You were trying to drive rush (which would be funny to do, and does work), but you can drive impact too! It's a normal cancel, but golly do you have to wait to time it properly. The three big nerfs to be mindful of is 1. after forward throw we have to walk forward further to throw loop, 2. OD hooligan into SA3 had a damage nerf, if you need to do the math for the kill. 3. heavy and OD spin knuckle are much slower trying to get through fireballs, so it's harder to use. (we're sorry akira and kazunoko are so good! though honestly it's probably to save AKI.) I was doing some labbing after talking on reddit, and i found that if you OD Hooligan into Light arrow, you get a safe jump! Might be more of something to use in the corner, but food for thought. Oh, and Raging demon vs SA3. Raging demon seemingly has less invul, it loses even when going second unless they delay it/are slow. caught a video showing that and it was a laugh. Game on, my good man.
