One of the things I remember noticing about this game as a child is that on the Megadrive/Genesis versions, the sprite's backward walk animation is merely a mirror of the forward one, whereas the arcade sprites have a unique animation loop for each direction. At least for Blanka and Ryu. Yes, I was fairly observant. :) I also played games far too much in general.

Well Yeah, but remember back then in the 80's and 90's the black guy always die or something in the entertainment media, so seeing a black guy get punch in front of a white crowd in the intro reminds me of racism. Now I do know that there are some toxic thinking nowadays about every minor detail that appears racist, but I could not help thinking about it.

I not black, but I understand. I do think that some people who are against the status quo sound whiny, and sometimes they truly are, but we can't turn a blind eye to injustices or wrong portrayals of black people. For example I believe that the censoring of the DBZ character Mr. Popo is ridiculous, but that doesn't mean I'm going to accept a thing like an obviously racist cartoon or and unjustified insult or violence to a black character.
