I'm hype as heck for this one. this is easily my favorite piece from SF4 and feels to me the most like something that something that Shimomura could have composed for Street Fighter 2.

Spoiler alert I used instruments from Slam Masters and SSF2 for this one. Even though it’s one of the oldest CPS2 games, ST has my favourite overdriven guitar sample. It’s similar to the “MMX” one that was used in almost every other game on the system, yet its more distorted. And for some reason was never used again after SSF2

People might hate El Fuerte for being really annoying to fight against, but personally I fucking love him. He's a much better representation of mexican culture than T. Hawk, and he's just so fucking fun to play as. ¡Viva El Fuerte!

Many of the members resisted and fought against them, and some were killed, including their leader, Arroyo Hawk (T. Hawk's father), who was cowardly murdered by a young M. Bison.

My guess was back when SF4 was about to revive the fighting game genre, they needed a few original fighters of their own while SF2's cast served as the nostalgic roster since Capcom wasn't fully ready to crossover their IPs all at once. Besides, I'm still waiting for Gunloc in Street Fighter and him confirming that he is definitely Guile's bro.
