Nothing like 15 to 20 people surrounding this arcade game back then. You simply walked up, placed your quarter on the bottom screen and waited your turn. There was that mutual respect that this is my quarter and I got next. Bring your A game or end up going to the back of the line. Good memories!!

The honor system of lining up your quarter somehow worked amazingly in those days, I can’t see people having enough respect for it to work today.

In this day and age they would just cut the line and or use your quarter or token (we had tokens back home back then) people are too spoiled and entitled nowadays.

Amazing memories. The respect for the quarters and who's turn it was, was incredible. One question alone was asked. Who's the last man? I'm next after him.

I'm 40 now, used to play SF2 in the stores, bars, wherever there was an arcade machine. Then it came out on the Super Nintendo and it was a game changer, tournaments with family and friends every single day. I always used RYU and my brother KEN, my dad GUILE. Such beautiful memories, i miss the 90s, life was great.

Also 40 and remember spending entire days at the arcade. Winner stays in and losers keep changing. There were times where we would get so hyped up that the panel which had the joystick and buttons would come off the machine. 😂 Fantastic times.

I bought that for my SEGA Mega Drive and spent spooooo much time on it. Every pixel, every sound, every mechanical issue is saved forever in my head. I have been a million times on Ken's marriage, I avenged Chun Li's dad so often, I was witness of Guile's family-reunion so often, I walked the path of the warrior with Ryu so often.... man.... even the winning-screen gives me nostalgia.

😱 😱 OMG! When I was a kid like 30 years ago, I saw someone who’s hayduken was a huge fireball that nearly filled up the screen and I was telling people what I saw and nobody believed me and also I could not find it on KZbin. And to this day, I stand beside what I saw. NOW...this video shows there is a setting control you can adjust and it tweaks player’s special moves! OMG! This has to be how they made the giant haduken!

What a beautiful journey down memory lane! Thanks so much for uploading. I remember in the early to mid 1990s in London UK, going to the Arcade room in Elephant & Castle shopping centre, 1st floor to watch other school kids play Street Fighter. Interestingly, I didn't play much of it at all, was more in World Heroes and this other fighting game I cannot recall it name. I still remember the shop owner and how the kids will get 50p coins from him for the arcade machines. Even now, the Shopping centre has been demolished. How time flies! Thanks for uploading

In Brasil we called it "Street Fighter de rodoviária" (bus station Street Fighter), because it was very common to see one of these arcades there.
