About Jakarta: 1. Places to eat: - along Kelapa Gading Boulevard main street, north jakarta, u can find everything there day & night. - along Mangga Besar Street at Kota area, west jakarta, so many food there, including snakes. Only at night. - Sabang street at central jakarta, close to thamrin area. Street food are yummy at night. 2. 24 hours mini markets for daily stuffs: alfa midi, circle K, some of indomaret (not all Indomaret) 3. Only about 10% Gojek rider know a little english. 4. Hard to find bike rent, if u find one, they probably will charge u in high price because u are white (hell yeah, unfortunately some of us identify white people with rich man, brings dollars). Need local license too. So it seems impossible. 5. Always wear helmet. Jakarta's streets are danger. 6. For cheap but fair tasty food, eat at "warteg". Sometimes not so clean, no english, but if u are lucky, food can be yummy.

I have a same faith as you, so that makes me happy to see people like you who love love to share the Love of God. Anyway, i am lived in Jakarta currently and basically a local from North Sulawesi (Manado City). If you like to have a little help, contact me anytime. I'll be happy to help, and everything will be on me. Consider it as a treat of hospitality. Cheers...

Hat's off. I can't and I've been here over a year. "Coba" means try! You mean "gado gado" Cooked veg with peanut sauce and crackers. "Pepes" is steamed fish originally with yellow turmeric spices and chillies eaten with white rice always. You can't rent a moppet in Jakarta. You just use go-jek, someone taking you to places on a bike like Casey Neistat when he was in Jakarta.

Street food in Indonesia you should try : 1. Sate (Chicken, Lamp or Beef) with Peanut gravy (usually local favorite) or Padang gravy (i recommend it since it taste more like dinner instead) 2. Pempek with or without egg filling, they usually come with sauce, the sauce taste really good when you eat it with their slice cucumber 3. Tekwan is a soup version of pempek, the texture are less rubbery, i recommend you to taste the soup first before mix it with other seasoning

I'm personally not into ABC sambal. You should try martabak telor with sour sauce called cuka. I think it'll be better. If you still in Jakarta, you can contact me to try some food in Sabang street. We can do food challenge across the street

@dariend86595 жыл бұрын
Hey man, nice video! Anyway, I want to to tell you one thing, be careful when eating Indonesian street food, especially fried food like that fried tempeh in the video. It's dangerous and unhealthy. It's not the tempeh that make it dangerous, it's the frying oil that they use. At 15:23 you can clearly see the oil is black. That indicates the oil has been used numerous of times before. It's very unhealthy and might cause multiple health problems. Frying oil can only be used 2 or 3 times maximum. If it turns black like in the video, it probably has been used more than 5 times. I don't know if you are going to read this but stay healthy!
