Every day, except holidays, a blue Niska is parked next to the Market. Its fame has long spread throughout Poland, and perhaps throughout the world.
The two guys who had been grilling there since 1991 were taxi drivers. They were tired of having nowhere to eat at night in Krakow. So their opening hours are from 8 pm to 3 am. Large sausages are grilled over live fire. About ten meters away you will smell the aromatic smell of fried sausage and the aggressive smell of beech wood smoke.
After waiting about ten minutes, you will take about 200 grams of sausage along with a fresh bun. If you like, you can add ketchup from a plastic container using a pump and mustard from another.
Once you receive the sausage, you can head to the long table nearby. People are generally polite and will give you their seat. You will meet partygoers, tourists, businessmen and tired workers. You will listen to the city's nightlife. I guarantee that this way you will feel the atmosphere most clearly.
We are talking about a place where the thirty-year-old spirit of baked sausage lives. This is a legend and gastronomic symbol of Krakow. These guys don't pretend, they don't force anything. They just bake sausage for decades.
