@user-ch7hn8dd8j
@user-ch7hn8dd8j 3 жыл бұрын
@Vaughn Jordan LeVel Palestine has been settled continuously since 4000 bc. Palestine derives its name from the Philistines who arrived in what was then Canaan in the fourteenth century bce, and eventually occupied the Mediterranean coastal plain from Jaffa to the Sinai. The Jews moved into Palestine from Egypt c.2000 bc but were subjects of the Philistines until 1020 bc, when Saul, David, and Solomon established Hebrew kingdoms. The region was then under Assyrian and, later, Persian control before coming under Roman rule in 63 bc. Palestinians are a mix of both indigenous pre-Israelite populations and later groups that settled in Palestine. The Arab conquest did not even result in a large transfusion of Arabs. Modern archaeology has identified 12 ancient inscriptions from Egyptian and Assyrian records recording likely cognates of Hebrew Pelesheth. The term "Peleset '' (transliterated from hieroglyphs as P-r-s-t) is found in five inscriptions referring to a neighboring people or land starting from c. 1150 BCE during the Twentieth dynasty of Egypt. The first known mention is at the temple at Medinet Habu which refers to the Peleset among those who fought with Egypt in Ramesses III's reign, and the last known is 300 years later on Padiiset's Statue. Seven known Assyrian inscriptions refer to the region of "Palashtu" or "Pilistu", beginning with Adad-nirari III in the Nimrud Slab in c. 800 BCE through to a treaty made by Esarhaddon more than a century later. Neither the Egyptian nor the Assyrian sources provided clear regional boundaries for the term. The first clear use of the term Palestine to refer to the entire area between Phoenicia and Egypt was in 5th century BCE Ancient Greece, when Herodotus wrote of a "district of Syria, called Palaistinê" (Ancient Greek: Συρίη ἡ Παλαιστίνη καλεομένη) in The Histories, which included the Judean mountains and the Jordan Rift Valley. Approximately a century later, Aristotle used a similar definition for the region in Meteorology, in which he included the Dead Sea. Later Greek writers such as Polemon and Pausanias also used the term to refer to the same region, which was followed by Roman writers such as Ovid, Tibullus, Pomponius Mela, Pliny the Elder, Dio Chrysostom, Statius, Plutarch as well as Roman Judean writers Philo of Alexandria and Josephus.

The name Palastine was given to Israel by the romans after the jewish uprising in the year 136 in order to erase the connection of the Jews with israel. The previous name was judaea. The modern palastinan nationality is also based solely on th objection to the Jews and once they will have their own state it will be torn apart just like Syria because palastinan nationalism is fake based on random lines decided by the British. @lvnndr I'm not lying, darling, the huge middle-eastern/greek/turkish area is a melting pot of cultural influence going in all directions all the time for thousand of years. There's no agreement about the background of falafel, some scholars says it is from Yemen, from Turkey or Egypt, so why it should be a feud between Palestine and Israel if they are not Egypt nor Turkey nor Yemen, it is mediterranean and that's all

@lvnndr Honey, hey over it, tahini is eaten in Armenia as a sauce to put in a lahmajoun. In Turkey, tahini is mixed with pekmez to form a dish called tahin-pekmez. In Iraq, tahini is known as "rashi" and is mixed with date syrup (rub) to make a sweet dessert usually eaten with bread. Tahini is called ardeh in Persian. In Iran (not arabic or palestinian people, they are persians) it is used to make halvardeh, a kind of halva made of tahini, sugar, egg whites, and other ingredients. It is also eaten during breakfast, usually with an accompanying sweet substance, usually grape syrup, date syrup, honey, jams, etc. Ardeh and halvardeh are among the souvenirs of the Iranian cities of Yazd and Ardakan. In Cyprus (not arabic or palestinian people, they have greeks or turkish background) tahini, locally known as tashi, is used as a dip for bread and in pitta souvlaki rather than tzatziki, which is customary in Greece. In Greece (not arabic or palestinian people, they are greeks) tahini (Greek: ταχίνι) is used as a spread on bread either alone or topped with honey or jam. Jars of tahini ready-mixed with honey or cocoa are available in the breakfast food aisles of Greek supermarkets. In Israel, tahini (Hebrew: טחינה‎ t'hina) is a staple foodstuff that was introduced by Mizrahi Jews who originally resided during the diáspora and thousands of years in Lebanon, Israel, Palestine, Jordan, Yemen, Iraq, Iran, etc. So you are not that original and special, babe. 💅🏿😉

@@Guy_Sandler Religion has nothing to do with the conflict, they claim that because they are Jewish they deserve the land because 3000 years ago people of the same religious group lived their (despite Palestinian ancestors also living in the land around that time )and so they came in and drove the natives out, we Palestinians accepted them and my grandfather sailed Holocaust survivors from the Italian coast to Jaffa but stopped when Zionist militias attacked his village, I for one work with Israelis and Jews and they are great people, the problem is there fathers and forefathers stole our culture and covered our history in the area (search Jerusalem wildfires reveal Palestinian terraces 400 years old) in order to achieve political correctness and justify murdering us because we are putting up a fight against the Israeli government. It would have been just fine if Israel did not kick 2/3 of all Palestinians out and destroy villages when they gained independence. I wish peace was an option but neither there side nor ours wants to compromise.

@@ultimatedark5969 Palestine has been settled continuously since 4000 bc.
