Curious about Morocco? Rabat or even the medina? Want to know a bit more about the street food here? Gotcha covered. Watch to see what I got- how much I got- and how much it all cost!

Yes its true. Cath and I dont video in the streets (but do have photos taken from the 80's to now. Interesting seeing the changes captured on camera but the main thing is the friendliness and generousity of the peoples of Morocco is timeless and so heartwarming. Some places we ask if its ok to take pics but generally its more acceptable in tourist places these days. People are not all liking being snapped so appreciating that is good. Thanks for the walkabout and info. 👍🙏

@@MiddleAgedRunaway hi. We have a house in Aourir for many years here. We venture back to see family in the UK for a few months in Summer but Morocco is home. Yes Cath travelled around Morocco with her then young kids in the 80's once in converted ambulance then in converted coach. Not such a big thing then and roads were often like tracks. She knew then that she would make it her home so when we came in 96 I too felt the same. Over the years we made friends with locals and have received so much love and help it is indescribable. Maybe we meet one day Insha'allah. 🙏

@@MiddleAgedRunaway Yes, they meet friends here now when they visit that they knew when they were small. Those friends now have kids of their own! We are going to Tunisia for a while then back in Morocco mid Nov. We fly into Casa from Tunis so could catch train/bus to Rabat and meet up? Stay well and see you on the next vid (whenever wherever). 🙏

Heyyy Terry, so "Lmelah" is the Jewish side or Jewish neighborhood of the Medina and you canfind it in all of the Medinas of Morocco with the same name, because a long time ago (I'm talking about centuries ago lol) the jews escaped from the discrimination in Europe to Morocco where they lived amongst muslims in peace, they actually say that it was their most prosperous era of their history, jews of Morocco were rich and living the lavish life that was impossible in Europe at the time, that time Morocco was the best place for humans to live. The reason they lived together in their own neighborhoods is that when they first came to Morocco they were hosted and were given lands to build their houses, so they were compact, the 2nd reason was that they wanted to stick together in case anyone decided they're not welcomed anymore (which never happened they made it theur home and lived equally). Eventually with time they started living out of those neighborhoods as well amongst the muslims, it was their home (still is).
