Ich mache zu Hause auch gerne Okonomiyaki, halt mein Style. Ich glaube prinzipiell ist das auch erlaubt, da Okonomiyaki übersetzt wohl in etwa sowas heißt wie "was ihr wollt". Hab ich zumindest irgendwo mal gelsen, glaube ich. Ich vermute also, falls Leute in Japan das zu Hause machen, dann nehmen sie vielleicht auch ein paar Zutaten, die gerade weg müssen zu denen, die sie am Liebsten haben und machen einen fantastischen "Pfannkuchen" daraus. Mega gut! 😀

Okonomyiaki ist Resteessen. Was noch übrig ist wird zusammengeschmissen und gebraten. Daraus haben sich dann die 'richtigen' Gerichte entwickelt.

visited Osaka in November 2023. I'm still dreaming of the Takoyaki and the Chees Coin although i prefer the Takoyaki in Ueno, Tokyo because they let you put the the toppings

Lol. That plushie is Gudetama and not an Octopus. Gudetama is one of Sanrio's (Hello Kitty) characters and is basically a lazy egg. It is supposed to represent someone who just doesn't want to do anything (we all have those moments) in an egg form. Octopus plushies probably do exist in Osaka.
