Last, if I eat the bad stuff at all.
@mrspeabody6154 ай бұрын
Always the good stuff first, maybe leave one bit for last, eat the rest in between. It would be a shame to wait with the good stuff until its cold and i'm full. >.
@roro2k3 ай бұрын
Alternate to keep a balance. And there's technically no "bad stuff", especially in Japan. The sides are not "fillers". They're included to compliment the main dish.

Love Kobe. I lived there for 4 years back in the 90's. Great to see it is still such a chill city with great food!

Great job guys, have to say the Kobe beef was my favorite meal. It is very nice they have such a beautiful nature walk only 10 minutes from the rails. Nice city, definitely less crazy busy which I prefer. Thanks Deana and Phil for taking us along, can’t wait to see what’s next!🥩🍱⛩💕👍

To be able to arrive in a new city, get two decent meals, walk around the city and then get into a more natural and beautiful setting and then leave to get back to where your lodgings are is a really awesome travel day and doesn't happen that often.

Really enjoyed seeing Kobe and the delicious beef and street food. I save best for last but will make sure i dont get full to enjoy it. Thank you for a great video.

I always eat the best part first, especially if it's something like Kobe beef. You want to enjoy that melt-in-your-mouth experience while it's hot. Great video, you guys really make me want to visit Kobe!

Regardless of what I'm eating, I always save the best for last. I will eat may salad and/or veg first, just to be done with it (even though I like them) and then I will indulge in my plate favorite. I have done this as a child. I do tease myself with a few bites of the best along the way, but I mostly save it for last. Thanks for the video!

Why hahaha? You have to eat best first as it is warm!

Amazing you found that hike on the backside of Kobe Station. I try to do that hike every time I'm there. There was a more touristy gondola ride /hike on the other side of the station

@Phil: About your "other way to eat" (6:00) There was a perfect description in a Docu about Japan that has stuck with me for 15 years or so by now: "Man isst sich nicht satt, man isst sich zufrieden." (You don't eat until you're full, you eat until you're satisfied.) Generally though the agreement seems to be "only until 90%")

Now i`m veggie but this looks goood, dude. Höhöhö, Japan is just full of very nice food. The best steak i have ever seen was in one of your videos a few weeks ago, when they`ve covered that thing in a giant fried egg. 😮

I eat the good stuff first too, especially if it's hot. Why fill myself up on the side dishes? But I'm also the person who eats dessert first if I'm more excited by it than the main course.

I was raised to eat the stuff you "don't care for" first, and work your way to the better-tasting things.
@somethingelse42042 ай бұрын
I used to save "best bites" for last, but as I've become an adult, I try to eat according to what things won't taste good cold. So if I were eating at the steak restaurant, I'd definitely eat the steak first because it would taste best right off the grill. I wouldn't want to wait and let such an experience of a steak get cold. Also, I've noticed I don't have the stomach space that I had as a child, and I'd hate to get too full to be able to eat the steak.

hi Deana, it's ok to hit Phil when he's being annoying ;-). Edit: and to add a bit more comments based on the video. When I'm really experiencing new things I don't need my stomach to be completely filled. I'll handle that with some well known, cheaper classics
