I like how all of his work was done with these types of cameras back then. No photoshop, or computers. Very nice. I like his work.

When I started doing street photography as a teen in the late 60s, two artists were kind of my education; I gobbled up every book, every article, that I could find on them. Cartier-Bresson and Riboud. Thank you for reminding me of his brilliant eye.

His eye for composition in selecting his subjects is amazing. More artist than street photographer in my opinion.

The thing I enjoy the most is how open the world was when he did photography - he went to China & Iran probably without any issues anyone today might face. Video is well put together and I have to agree with others on your good selection of music.

Enjoyed seeing - yes pronunciation of French (even for an Englishman) distracts - Lyon - Lee-on
@Joel_Ulises8 ай бұрын
Thank you for showing me the correct pronunciation. It's very challenging for me to master all the pronunciations of each language, even for artificial intelligence. I know it can be frustrating not to hear the correct pronunciation of your language, whether it's French, German, Greek, Turkish, Russian, Spanish, Italian, and so on. Thanks to everyone for your patience, and I'll consider making subtitles to avoid this kind of inconvenience.

Riboud, another of my all time greats and inspirations! His images transport me to other times and places like few others. My iconic favorite of his has long been the one in China from the bus, where the scene is framed into segments. Great video!

I really like your series on the masters of photography.. great to look at and very informative… my only advice would be to pay more attention to the pronunciation of names, places, etc. It would really benefit the program… good luck !!

Tip regarding the French city Lyon: it's not pronounced as 'LI-on' (animal) but 'Li-On' (ON the table).

I love your site, and am grateful to have such ready access to its materials. So the following comment is not meant to be churlish, no matter how it may sound. Please require your narrator to take the very few minutes necessary to look up the correct pronunciations of French and other foreign language words in this and possibly other videos of yours. The travesty of mispronunciations in this particular video really harms it; among other things, for some viewers these mistakes may call into question the soundness of the genuine erudition you present.

Thanks for commenting and for providing feedback on the pronunciation. Constructive comments are always appreciated and help me keep improving. Cheers!

thanks for having a black border/background... too many go with white and it's too bright and annoying
