Let me preface that, as an American, I've never actually watched "Street Legal." That said, the season 4-season 8 intro for this show has resonated with me since I first stumbled across it on KZbin many years ago. Not only is this intro one of the best of all time, in my opinion, but, because half of my heart is still in Toronto after I visited there back in 2019, the mere sight of the CN Tower makes me happy. Also, when I realized that, as we walked by it on the way to Nathan Phillips Square, the building in the last scene of the intro is the old Toronto city hall, I fan-geeked out a bit.

Out of all the openings for this show - this music is my favorite. I'm a huge fan of this show, especially after they retooled it in season 4. They realized it worked better when the story lines were continuing, versus previous seasons when the story lines followed each episode.

Well I agree with you in the sense that when this theme was first used in this season it needed to be touched up. It sounds much better in later seasons and I love the remake of the music at the end of the last episode.

The reason this show aired on BBC Canada (it doesn't anymore) is due to what we call "CanCon" rules. In Canada, most stations must air a certain percentage of Canadian-produced programming (Canadian Content). Despite the name 'BBC Canada', it is a Canadian-owned station and is required to air CanCon for a portion of its schedule. Canadian programs like 'Street Legal' tend to air on Canadian cable stations frequently due to this. 'Street Legal' is currently airing on 'Bravo! Canada'.

Dave Elliot also costarred with Canadian Shannon Tweed in a Canadian series after his stint on SL. It was entitled FLY BY NIGHT. It was something similar to NBC's WINGS series. It didn't last very long and everybody moved on..............

Well actually, David James Elliot doesn't play a lawyer in this show. He is a police officer, does undercover work, and eventually becomes a private detective.

BBC Canada? So a show made here is being played on a Canadian version of a UK network? And here I always thought that playing obscure Canadian shows was ShowCase's job. XD!
