Yes, there is a formula. It's all about standing waves, and in an organ pipe (which is closed in one end and open in the other), the base wavelenght of the note is four times the length of the pipe. Then take the speed of sound and divide it with the wavelenght to get the frequency. To convert between frequncy values and tone letter, you will need to take reference in A4 (440Hz), and deduce how many halfsteps away you are. One half step is a frequency factor of the 12th root of 2.

I found the bracket that clamps to the shaft that was made from Walnut had cracked I replaced it with a new Hard Maple one and installed a screw as John said and all is well. Thanks John your comments mean a lot to me.

This is so cute, and I love the sound, it makes me happy. I'm sure it's a good antidepressant, better than pills. Play it to gloomy folks to cheer them up.

What a nice little video, thank you for posting it. This is a john Smith Senior 20 virtually finished, the sticking music could be that the take up spool securing screw has no proper drilling to locate in, try it ! It is so nice to see another one of my organs having been built closely to the plans sounding so well. with a nice front and the conductor this will be another one for the builder to be truley proud of. How a bout a video of the Universal I see in a background please. John Smith
