I have been watching the shake and bake car he's been getting faster and faster. The fast and loud Dodge car of Richard's with the blower that's about how fast it should be going like the shake and bake car. The first thing a drag racer learns is that most races are won or lost on the starting line. You don’t need 1/4 mile to prove anything when your car can do 190 MPH in half that distance.

Frank. You’re a prime example of stupidity. If you don’t like 1/8 mile drag racing don’t watch it. You probably can’t even drive so I won’t be able to explain how these things work to a clown like you. If you got a ride in a 3.80 sec 1/8th car you would be begging the driver to stop before the 330 mark anyway.

If 1/8th mile drag racing is so pointless why are all the top rated TV shows and No Prep events 1/8th mile? Because it’s POINTLESS to race a1/4 mile when you don’t need to. Back in the 50s cars were so slow they needed a mile or so to get wound up good. These days a good car only needs about 330 feet to hit the 1/4 mile trap speeds of a hot rod 1950s street car.
