Re the smoking - the only non-smoking carriage was the last one where the Guard operated the doors from. So you'd dash down there (if a non-smoker) to find the first door blocked by the Guard leaning out and the little space. The double sided station - if my memory serves me right is Clapham Common. Great channel.

What's so interesting is how the photobooks each of you introduced are similar to your own style of photography. One having a touch of humour and life while the other being classic and sublime. Great videos. Keep them coming.

Y’all have such great complimentary energies. Your photographic styles and tastes are also different but I really vibe with them both. Lots of flavor on this channel!

Thank you for sharing some super talented photographers that I haven’t heard before. Bruce Davidson is an absolute inspiration. His vivid snaps full of colour are an absolutely motivation for when I go out and shoot London Underground. Very inspiring episode.

Good to see you guys back at it! Richard Sandler has some nice subway shots in his book “Eyes of the City”. Also, you guys get bonus points for putting some McNutty footage in.

Fabulous account guys. Just ran across this video now. Been craving more photography culture content and here it is! (A small bit of feedback...? If I may...? Laying the book flat to give us a flick through works super well. But harder to see the images in books held vertically!)
@frame-lines4 жыл бұрын
ah you'll just have to buy those books then to get a better look :) (kidding - thanks for the feedback)

4:12 I was a boy when they smoked at subways and I hated the smell. Sometimes I would even vomit from the lack of air and smell of that cigar. How dumb were people then? Even driver was smoking while driving.

Damn! That's a great looking book. I'd seen his photo of the schoolgirls on the Subway before but for some reason I attributed it to Bruce Davidson. Thanks for the recommendation! - Shane

Framelines good luck finding it like so many of these out of print photography books they rise in value and rarity. Lesson I learnt if I see a photo book I like I buy it . Cause it might not be around again and supports artist now when they need it. Dublin based camera man here sorry camera operator . Love the vids and the insta .

FWIW, I don't think that Robert Frank was ever associated with the Photo League.

I'd read that he was active with, and supported the Photo League but yeah you could be right - I'm not 100% certain he was a full member

Good video, but those commercials on You Tube keep getting in the way. Who interrupts a commercial with another commercial? Sheer idiocy.
