Great video mate. Love the warm up shot of the woman walking towards the arches and the guy passing the European Commission. The car against the garage door is outstanding! Great abstract. The shot at 9:27 is absolute fire. That’s the killer one. How fantastic was the light that fell on the poster of the woman’s red lips. Couldn’t have been any better. The shots against the large poster/mural that you were not happy with, might have looked better in colour. It was a difficult shot in B&W because the subject gets lost. Keep these coming mate. Going to check out that other guys IG page 👍🏻

I like the Q2 videos because I shout with it too. The Cannon video was interesting and lovely images but I sold that equipment to go light and versatile. At 75 weight is a consideration. I enjoyed this video because I enjoy seeing the before and after shots. I’m trying to gain insight on how your see light in a given situation then exploit it in LR. I’m applying some of that insight to my landscapes. I like the abstract of the car and lines in B&W. Thanks for sharing your art.

I'm surprised that the previous video didn't have the views it deserved. but surely you drew your conclusions, octavian. perhaps the most important of all was that you should do what you really like. without pressure, as you say to someone here in the community. Anyway here you are with another video of street photography. and what a fantastic set of photographs you show us. I really liked that you shared the work of someone you knew personally and admire the work. this is what photography is also made of. I also really liked your honesty in saying that you were disappointed with the views of the previous video. The intro is very interesting because it takes us in a sad song for your appearance of serenity and smile that characterize you in the opening words. I particularly liked the two photos of the guys in strange poses in the column building (5.31 and 5.41). all the best, octavian

My favourite is probably the shadows of people aligned. pretty cool. Even more interesting is that you shared Christophe chailloux's photography. I find in his feed a perfect echo of what you do. That kind of same but different feeling. You are family and maybe you know it. Regarding the previous video, we tend to put people in boxes. Do what inspires you. The images were very inspirational, nothing wrong with that. I told you I am not so much in reviews type of stuff. Well when photographs are THAT good , the I forget about my misgivings. As long as models do not get frozen in the making of the video :) Cheers Patrick

Octavian, sorry to hear that your previous video didn't perform as well as you hoped it would. These are strange times and you never know how people will react to content. That said, I like your photos but not the POV so much. There are a number of KZbin content creators using GoPro or DJI Osmo for POV videos and sad to say, for me, it makes it unbearable to watch those videos. It doesn't mean the photographic content is not good but viewing the video from that perspective causes a bit of vertigo or sea sickness because of the herky-jerky nature of the body movements when moving about from location to location. I prefer POV videos when you have someone filming you as you talk and take photos. It would also be nice if you would show what you're shooting from eye view as opposed from below your camera. Hopefully, you get my point.
@OctavianCarare3 жыл бұрын
Hi Idowu! Oh no worries about the previous video, it's perfectly fine :). Well to be honest you are the first one that tells me about vertigo and sickness of POV videos. I didn't know that a POV can cause that (I watch lots of them and never had any issues). Just out of curiosity, on what screen are you watching the POV videos ? I get your point and I will do a video when someone is filming me but I have to find someone willing to do this :). It is a good idea afterall, thank you for your feedback :)
@d.idowuolutosin42503 жыл бұрын
@@OctavianCarare let me clarify, it doesn't cause vertigo or sea sickness with me but that was the easiest way to describe how it feels for me watching certain pov videos. A better description would be that it's distracting from the overall intention of the video which is to get your audience to understand and follow your process and methodology for street photography. Also, it would be nice to see you shoot other rangefinder-inspired cameras like the ones from Fujifilm as a juxtaposition to shooting the Leica Q2. Just a thought. As for what I typically watch KZbin videos on, an 81.28 cm Dell monitor.
