Another amazing video. They could drop you in the middle of Antartica during the Winter, and you would still manage to take great street photos. I loved the dogs in front of the Coke sign.

Complimenti Octavian. Mi è piaciuto molto questo video e anche quello del 13 gennaio con foto in bianco e nero. Bellissime le immagini e anche la ricerca delle luci/contrasti. Fare Street Photography in tempo di lockdown non è sicuramente facile poiché sono pochi i soggetti “interessanti” ma, nello stesso tempo, penso che ti puoi dedicare con maggiore attenzione e senza impedimenti a fotografare i soggetti scelti.. Apprezzo molto il tuo colpo d’occhio nell’individuare la scena e mi piace il taglio originale che dai alle inquadrature.con i giochi di ombre e luci. Complimenti.

Already seen on Instagram and yes, the man eating with the pigeons ( 05.54 ) is, as you mentioned, the nicest ! Also a strong one is at 06.43, that little part in the black but of course, there are more beauties in this very cold show :-))

Hallo Octovian as usual a pleseure to see your photos. You have had much colder than we in south Sweden. I listened to your lack of objects in small city. I Live in Lund about 100000 total in city maybee 60-70000 people. I have taken streetphotos for seven years in Lund, I often come back to same places, It is a frendly city but i also would like to find new places, in the near we have Malmö 250000 people but it is also a "harder city" in summertime a go to Copenhagen 1 hour with train, but in Coronatime you have to wait. Our pictures 2019 will go to history with all masks. I also found a man a Taxidriver giving food to birds, Have a nice weekend. I will go out tomorrow with my Permobil.

even if you say that they are not your best street photos you have a very good set here. I don't know what it is -16 degrees but I believe it is very cold :) I really like the photo of the bus stop and that of the man with the pan flute. great vid as always ;) all good octavian

Thanks a lot Isaque. For the next video I decided to shoot only portraits, hope you will like it. Well -16C is pretty cold to be honest, I was freezing 🥶 and had to move a lot but some pictures are shot in a warmer day. I am glad that it was sunny

Absolutely superb episode! All of the shots were amazing, but my favourites were the chap reading the book and the man playing the panflute! Of course, that shot on the bus sto was spectacular as well. I really liked to see the process of waiting for the right moment to shoot some frames. The bnw shot of the bearded man was also spectacular!

Gorgeous Octavian. In addition to your tasteful eye, I am taken by the stark shadow and contrast you achieve in your images. I have been using exposure compensation when shooting into the light, but have yet to get close. I’m very interested to know how much of your beautiful contrast is achieved in camera, or through editing. Any insights greatly appreciated. Your videos are excellent and inspiring. Cheers.

Hello Kris ! I basically underexpose my pictures one or two stops in camera and then turn down the shadows and the blacks in Lightroom. Thank you ! :)

Ca de obicei, sunt aici sa iti urmaresc pasii cum faci si tu cu cei de pe strada :)). Poza ce o am la suflet este cea de la 5:54. Imi plac ideile tale si felul cum te joci la 6:44 , 8:20, 8:28 il eliberam :)) , 11:33 sunt surprinsa sa vad oamenii ca citesc in frig, mult mister 12:15, 13:22. Felicitari, astept urmatoarele poze si noile tale provocari si peripetii. :*

You do it again! Not 100%sure whichbis my favourite. The one at 3:11 of that passers by encapsulates a great moid, the silhouette at 4:27 is cool ( prefer it to the later version). The footage of him endears the bearded man , but i orefer the end result of you stalking. Probably tge first one i mentiined is my favourite. Too tired fir a proper commentary. I really appreciate the challenge of photographing your hometown. How blase one might become.

Fantastic videos - really interesting to follow your steps in town and to watch your various ways to approach the subjects! If I can ask, do you permanently stay at 28 or do you sometimes crop to 35 (or even 50) during the shoot itself depending on subjects? Looking forward to following you :-)
