Awesome Paul I have been using that knot since 1978. We called it a movers knot. I would suggest to put a half-hitch on your loop so it does not move or stretch longer and then when you put your pull rope side in the loop, all you need to do is pinch your pull rope side at the loop and then proceed with you half hitch to finish

‘Morning Ralph! Morning Sam!’ 😂😂🤣 Thank You for taking me along for the ride! (Friend succumbed to his addiction this morning - taking his own life. Dear God please watch over his 3 daughters 🙏🏻) In response to a comment below - Paul is both intelligent and knowledgeable. If I decide to start scrapping I know Paul would be my go to person. I’ve learned a lot watching his videos. And anybody that plays multiple instruments has some intelligence to them. It’s a gift. 🔆kindness matters🔆

I have been addicted to your videos since I watched my first one about 3 weeks ago. I have a funny thought for for you. The next time you find one of those vacuums with the retractable cord, cut the plug end off leaving a couple of inches of cord and stick back in the vacuum for the next wire scrapper to find. Anyway, I'm a 73 yo disabled Vietnam veteran of the US Navy. I was actually aboard the USS Frank E Evans DD754 when we were cut in half in a collision with the HMAS Melbourne Australian aircraft carrier on June 03, 1969 in the South China Sea, we lost 74 crew members with 73 going down with the bow of the ship. I saw in one of you videos about you doing the move program at the VA. I entered that program a few years back weighing in at 315 pounds, I am now stabilized at 185, so keep it up. I also love your faith in God, I have been the choir director at my church since 2007. I pray for.you everyday. Good luck with your scraping and your music.

In the hardware isle where you got the U bolts, you can also find some nylon or aluminum spacers (your choice here). Basically they are washers that are an inch or however long you need them to be. Slip them onto the U bolts and you won't have as much threading to do when you put the nuts on the bolt.
