A good day trash picking for cash, not much out there but I did make the most of it with a load of scrap metal for the day.

Hey ben scrapped out a dryer last weekend and i made about 4 aud half from the motor in it scrap metal price i got was 11c/kg

The battery and mower bit proves what you're constantly saying - there's plenty to go around if you're being attentive and selective. He got some mowers to tinker with, you got a stack of batteries for your scrap run.

$130 per tonne or 13c kg, that's for dirty shred so can have a little rubbish on it like plastic, glass etc.

Yes it's legal but technically the rubbish in a dumpster is the property of the bin company. Many are locked when left out in the street.
