Should have grabbed those two rolls of foam on the spools at 20:00 mark. Those are rolls of backer rod for pre-filling caulking gaps. Saves a lot of caulk when caulking. Comes in very handy at times. That was the 1/4 inch backer rod usually for filling control joints in concrete before caulking. Expensive to buy at the big box hardware stores. You might get 100 feet in a package at 10 cents a foot. Professional caulkers buy backer rod by the roll like that at discount.

Hi, Nerf nerd here. That blaster (red and orange thing) at 2:57 is the Nerf Titan, its an older blaster and is desirable and valuable especially if it works (air powered) they're pretty rare outside of the USA and can command good money. Nice Ps3 slim from the same pile.
@toomaskotkas44675 жыл бұрын
If you know about that stuff and you have a collection I suggest making a video and posting it on KZbin. Sure you will get some haters and trolls who don't like a competition but a lot of people will be thankful too.

Good evening, Ben. Watching the video, I couldn't help but notice the card you held up at 29:46 (in the last PC you picked up). That there is what's known as a "slocket"... an adapter that allows installation of a socket CPU into a slot 1 motherboard. Quite the rare item, even back when they were being manufactured, but definitely more so today. People who build & restore vintage or retro computers love these things. I'm fairly certain it'd be more valuable if sold online compared to what few cents scrapping it might bring. Keep up the good work 😁

Awesome video mate. You could keep the optical pickup of the CD/DVD drives and if someone wants the lenses. Maybe a teacher at high school where you picked up computers to scrap, you can contact a physics teacher to give them the DVD drive pickup heads and the optical assembly. If you put a lens in front of a smartphone camera, you can turn it into simple microscope. You can also use 2 of the lenses to make a simple microscope to look with your eye. 50 dvd drives means at least 50 lenses, 50 laser diodes. You can scrap the stepper motors as motors if such small motors can be redeemed at scrapyard as electric motors. Just a suggestion if you have such contacts.

I scrapped the same area the next day. Melbourne KingXXX ClaXXXX. The rain came down. I had to abort after two hours. Ben, I saw one house with no lie 20 hard disks in a styrofoam holder. I have no use and I left them. I thought about you but hey.. When you are on the curb and it's raining.. "if in doubt, go with out". I scored a fish tank worth easy $60 and a PC. intel P4 Microprocessor (no ceramic) and some RAM. Added to my collection. ;-)
