I first learned the name of this piece while watching the movie "Badlands" starring Sissy Spacek and Martin Sheen and then sitting through the rolling credits at the end of the movie. Very well done kids and maestro too! Thanks for sharing.

Really well done by the children and by whomever put together this slightly simplified but still compelling and beautiful arrangement of a song with which I’ve been obsessed for nearly 40 years - I had my da dub nothing but Gassenhauer on both sides of a 90 minute cassette tape from the record for me as a child.

I'm curious, did you listen to actual Gassenhaur, or the variation that is known as You're so Cool, attributed to Hans Zimmer?
@christopherhenderson7723 Жыл бұрын
I don't know what it is about Gassenhauer, but it is by far the most mystifyingly beautiful piece of music I've ever come across. I can't go more than two or three days without listening to it. It is pleasant, simple, elegant, complex, haunting, vibrant, and many other indefinable things. And it sounds its best when kids are playing it. Live. In person.
