We have one, I'm that clumsy person who finds a wall and will bump into it without intending to...with that said, I'm slowly learning how to ride this beast, I find that I have to stop using my arms as much. Good tutorial, it actually has helped me some. Let me note, I'm a runner have been for decades, but now that I'm old my knees are giving out, so this is hopefully the remedy to staying healthy without running. Thanks for taking the time

Never heard of the Street Strider before- very cool bike! They cost a lot more than a regular bike but the workout / exercise component is phenomenal.

The big point for me is I can’t bike or jogg anymore that’s why I like it so much. I finally can work out again (I only like endurance sports)

Do you steer with tilt like a skateboard? Then you have to learn to do it in such a way that I don't wobble while driving, because then I'm moving on a wavy line.

Lets see you navigate it through a cone-course. If it's not very easy to steer, it's a hazard to yourself and others.

It’s like skying and it works good but I agree beginners will struggle making turns! But after you learn it it will work out!

I've been seeing this advertised on Facebook and Instagram. I have rheumatoid arthritis and one of the exercises they have me do in physical therapy is kinda like an elliptical, except sitting down. This looks fun, but I would be afraid to fall 😅
@Fitzaey3 жыл бұрын
It takes like 1 to 2 hours getting use to after than it’s like very exhausting till you figure out it has gears and than it goes really smooth. You really need to learn it but than it’s

It is very stable. My daughter (age 29) has always been afraid to ride a bike. She tried the StreetStrider, which is a trike, and she loves it. In particular, she loves the stability provided by the two wheels at the front end and the skiing-like workout of the ride. She has some balance issues but thus far (knock on wood) she hasn't experienced a single fall or crash. I ride it sometimes myself and I find that to make it tip over, you almost have to force it.

I'm having a VERY hard time staying on my StreetStrider. It feels like it's going to tip over when I lean a little so I jump off (reflex). My frind was whizzing around like a pro aft fumbling around for 15 minutes (starts/stops). Do you have any suggestions to help me stay on long enough to learn how to ride?

Are you still using the street strider? Looking to buy one but I see so many for sale. 🤷🏼♀️
@Fitzaey4 ай бұрын
@@TheFireStationHubBathNC it’s in convenient and very exhausting.. so it’s good workout people don’t like working out! I got it for my knee and used it but I stopped after having my knee got better(that alone is worth while) but since the accident of my wife my heart got bad so I’m not working out.. so people are lazy but it’s good for bad knees and full body workout!

Most important is also where are you located to bike with it! The closer to the bike path the better!

Hi! How is it relating to the needed "muscle-power" compared to a normal trekking-bike? With the trekking bike I`m riding about 12-16mph with "normal" effort, how is it on the streetstrider? Is it harder in case of the weight and the smaller wheels? On the videos it always looks a little bit "though" to hold on speed and that it slows down quickly without "pedalling"...
@Fitzaey2 жыл бұрын
Yes it’s harder! It’s a different muscle group. You can roll for while but it’s more exhausting.you will get use to it if you put the time in!
@leoh29202 жыл бұрын
@@Fitzaey Ok so that sounds for me that it´s harder at the beginnig because a part of the needed power has to come from the weak muscels from the upper-body now, right? I think because of the weight and smaller wheels it always needs a few watts more power-input compared to a bike with 28" wheels. And another question: When driving up a steep hill, what´s the lowest speed which is possible before I fall over with this thing :)
@Fitzaey2 жыл бұрын
@@leoh2920 yes! So because leg is the strongest muscle but you rest is less often used it feels very hard in the beginning but you will get use to it.. it’s like 70leg -30 body!

@@Fitzaey ok thank you :-D do you know something about riding steeper hills and rough streets? In our area here it always goes down and up....
@Fitzaey2 жыл бұрын
@@leoh2920 up will be harder than a bike but it has 3 gears! Rough streets are fine! It rolls very smooth!

2-3 ride I got comfortable ! So the tick is when stepping on it to pull the handels back to stabilize it! There’s a section in the video where I explain that will help alot!

I don’t have the stand for the stationary stand! I was planning on getting it sooner or later but than I will definitely make a tutorial!
